Im A Bandster!

I just got to my room, the surgery was a little more than 2 hours. I had a hernia they had to repair. The gas pain is unreal. The best way I can describe is feeling like I stuffed myself with an excess amount of food and its putting so much pressure on my chest. I have left shoulder pain that's awful!! I'm ok, but I can't wait to feel better.

Congratulations!

Sounds like you are experiencing all the normal feelings.

I had hernia repair too. Dr. told me that the swelling from that and LB last for first 48hrs and he was right.

Everyday that goes by, you'll feel better and better.

Try to walk as much as possible, it's one of the only things that helps.

Hang in there and follow Dr. orders!

Congrats and welcome to the other side :D

Hey hey relax recover BEST OF ENJOY!!!!

IM MY OWN MOTIVATION

The worst is over! Truly. The gas pain is no fun, but a heating pad may help, Gas-X strips, walking, peppermint tea. Congrats on being a Band Insider!

Chez, they won't let me drink anything because of the hernia repair. I have to wait until morning to do the barium test to see if the repair worked. I've never water a class of water so bad in my life. Not sure the hospital has heating pads but I'm just hoping to get some reprieve from the pains. My stomach incisions don't hurt at all. My tummy just aches from nothing in it since yesterday.
