  1. Yep, came back to check on you! Glad you called. I thanks for the update!
  2. Take those old records off the shelf.. Are you wearing white socks, mens dress shirt? Oh, my imagination just runs when I let it! Rein it back in Mad, some ppl don't like it No sense of humor!
  3. No, I just wanted to see your little tushy doing that Tom Cruise thing you do so well.
  4. WTG! It's always in the jeans, nothing better than pulling them off without unbuttoning them. Congratulations! We're just 1wk apart. I just had my 6wk check & fill yesterday. Yeppers, we're on our way!!!!
  5. I concur with Cheryl, call your Dr. You need your fluids.
  6. I would just go back to eating like a bandster. 1 cup of food per meal 3 oz protein 1/4cveggies 1/4 good carbs Eat off small plate, 1min between bites, 20 min you're done regardless if plate is empty. Drink at least 64oz. You should go back and talk with Dr & nutritionist. Just do it the same way as when you lost the 30 lbs. Get hungry do something that keeps you busy. You have to use your want power!
  7. I pretty much eat the same as Minimi. If I get hungry between meals I have sf hot chocolate or chai tea and that takes the edge off.
  8. I never had severe gas pains, just felt bloated. I got up and walked every 2 hrs. Also chewed on GasX if I felt too bloated. Hot decaf tea helped too. Never got the shoulder pain ppl talk about, until I went on regular diet 4wks out and its a nerve pain that lets me know when I've eaten enough. I really hope it Doesn't go away. I like the reminder.lol
  9. Congratulations! So excited for you! Sip sip sip & walk walk walk, by the end of the week you'll be feeling pretty darn good. Keep us posted fellow bandster!
  10. Woohoo! You look great! Congratulations and thank you for sharing!
  11. Now I'll never look at a Mini Cooper again in the same way.LOL If they have the windows down I'll know why and that will make me laugh!
  12. When I'm eating Greek yogurt or ff cottage cheese, low fat cheese as a protein I just measure in a cup.
  13. They say actually to compress it into a cup. When it comes to meat I always make it 3 oz and then add 1/4 c veggies & 1/4 good carbs. Most the time the Protein fills me before I can get to the veggies & fruit. But they say eat your protein first. Hope that helps!
  14. That's what my bariatric center did. They contacted my insurance and then told me when and how I needed to do everything. I wish you the best on your journey! Keep us posted!
  15. which in turn makes me follow the band rules, hero

When I'm really stressed I put on really soothing music and lay with my eyes close and concentrate on deep breathing. It does help! I'm really sorry you are dealing with something so painful! Pre banding my granddaughter was in the hospital , life & death for 10 mths and I gained 100 lbs. I hope when I have to face something like that again, I will have better coping skills, or see a professional. Thoughts and prayers with you and your dad!
  17. Are you logging what you eat? Eating only 1 cup? Protein first?I'm sure another fill should help, maybe get you in that green zone.
  18. Great post AJ! Yes, this was my best Thanksgiving ever and I plan on a great Christmas season too! Did I ever tell you, your my hero......
  19. Oh, as far as diet goes, again they're all different, some will accept WW and some won't. I had to have 5 yrs. of history with a Dr and being obese and do a 6mth supervised diet with Dr. They will be able to tell you this when you see your Dr. Try not to worry!
  20. As far as my insurance(Aetna) goes and they're all different, the only co-morbities they recognize is Diabetes, high B/P, High Cholesterol & sleep apnea. No arthritis, I'm waiting on double knee replacement and that didn't make a difference.
  21. What phase are you on? I had to be on Full liquids 30 days.
  22. I had my first fill today, 3cc. The Dr said, "I know your weight loss was all you and I promise you that soon the band will kick in and help". He also said on average most restriction comes between 4-7.5 cc. Are you getting in your protein first and drinking a lot of water? Hang in there it will begin to work with you!
  23. Diabetes, High B/P, High cholestrol (sp?) , Sleep apnea
