  1. I just read this as "I'm getting blisters cuz I'm craving one" I thought that was some term I wasn't familiar with. If you have blisters on your tongue, you need to call your Dr, pronto!
  2. Yep, It was on my full liquid list too, along with runny mash potatoes. Missy is right, if it runs off a spoon its a liquid.
  3. Still waiting with you. Please pass that People magazine to me. Gotta find out what my Hollywood peeps been up to. Terrible when you have to read about them in the press.
  4. WOW! You are doing awesome! So glad you could update us. Keep up the wonderful job. Thanks for being there for the kids! You Rock!
  5. Let me guess "hot pink & bedazzled" everything?!
  6. You should be in surgery now, T&P heading your way!
  7. It can't be that much longer, can it? You have had one of the longest insurance waits that I know of. What does your surgeon say? We're all there waiting with you((((((BB))))))
  8. Hi Dena, I had to do the 6mths jumping threw hoops too! It did go by pretty quick though. I also spent a lot of time here and glad I did. You learn more here than any classes I had to go to. I was banded 10/15/12 so I'm still pretty new to it, but everything I've been through I knew was normal from being here. Hope everything works out for you and good luck on your journey to better health!
  9. You're only 16days out so you still have to be careful. I just finished 30days of full liquids. Like NewDawn said, try drinking slower. Best wishes!
  10. At present I am a household technician, meaning housewife. In the past, when you still used a pencil and an appt book I worked for 3 OB-GYN's. Also worked in Geriatrics. I went from new to old. Now I'm old and retired. But not so old that I don't ride my own Harley & drive a fast car.lol My grandson thinks I'm the coolest!
  11. Greetings again from sunny Florida! I'm a lot older than most here 56. I was banded 10/15/12 so even though I'm old, I'm still a newbie. I've been hanging with these wonderful ppl for almost 8mths now and they've taught me most of what I need to know to succeed with LBS. I love them all! Glad to have you with us also!
  12. Down 22lbs in 6wks that's fantastic! Congratulations! It is great having a healthier life to look forward to. Keep up the great job!
  13. I ride a Sporster too. I was banded 0ct15 Dr didn't tell me when I could ride again, but I felt the time was right.
  14. Followed the leader..... I usually never look at date either. Well Andrew, hope things are going well. Check on sometime!Bahahaha
  15. Welcome Andrew! This is a great forum for useful information & support. Post often so we can get to know you. Best Wishes on your journey!
  16. Whats the fun in that? Anyway you can't help getting into trouble, it comes naturally.
  17. That's what the second poster CG on this thread was saying, everyone is different ,so it's hard to compare yourself to anyone else. I hope you can lose enough weight so your rings come off. I didn't have to do a diet before surgery b/c I had already been on a diet for 6mths. and lost 34lbs. I would try sticking to banded rules while your waiting for your surgery. Eat off smaller plate, take smaller bites and chew 20-30times putting fork down between bites and waiting 1 min between bites and only eating for 20-30 mins whether your plates empty or not, you're done. Don't drink with meals or 30 mins after. Eat Protein first, then veggies and good carbs. drink 64 oz of Water a day and lay off soda. That's how I lost the 34 lbs and I really believe it was great practice for how I'm doing now. I already had gone through sweets & bad carb withdrawal, so after surgery that wasn't a problem. You can do this and if you work really hard you can get that ring off! Best wishes on your journey!
  18. Every Dr. has different instructions. A lot of ppl have to do a 2wk liquid diet, others count calorie diet. I didn't not have to do a diet b/c I had already been dieting for 6mths. The idea of the liquid diet is to shrink the liver b/c it is in the way and if it's all fatty ,it's like handling Jello. Best of luck on your journey!
  19. Rode my bike today for the first time in 4wks. It was really nice. I was flying high out there b/c my favorite black jean jacket that is all bejeweled fit today. I have about 10 brand new Harley shirts hub keeps getting me for Christmas and they never fit, no receipt. There about one size to fitting comfortable. They fit now, but I hate bulges. So I was one happy Harley riding momma today!
  20. I understand, it's a cloudy night.
  21. Hi Julie, Welcome to the forum! You will find a lot of inspiration, knowledge and support hear. You might want to start a thread that's strictly for yourself and you will find a lot more people to welcome you. It's ok that you did it here but you'll get more responses on a separate thread. Just title it New Here or something like that. I wish you the best on your new journey, post often so we can get to know you!
  22. Sorry to say, but anyone that knows CG, which is a lot of ppl , will stumble onto this thread and feel the need to give their opinion. That's how the forum works, sometimes weeks go by and someone finds something and brings it back to the forefront.
