Happy 2nd Banniversary Floridays! What better way to celebrate by hitting the 150's, congratulations! You are a great inspiration to us all, thank you!
  2. Best wishes for your success! I think we all go through these same feelings. You'll do great!
  3. Yep, lost it, gained it, lost it, gained it! WW,TOPS,Atkins, walking. Like I told my surgeon "I have no problem losing,it's keeping it off that's the problem". Hoping LB will finally change that. And to answer another post you made, yes more likely health issues kill me, than LBS.
  4. Woohoo! Congratulations! You look amazing!
  5. I don't have a Realize band. I currently have 3cc in 10cc band & not in green zone. My Dr just told me "on average it takes between 4cc &7.5cc to reach green zone". You will get a wide variety of answers.
  6. Sweet potatoes have more vitamin A & potassium than white potatoes. So yes, they are slightly better than white.
  7. Checking in down 2lbs , started 220, now 218.
  8. Very normal, keep walking and try a heating pad to ease pain. This will pass, hang in there!
  9. Welcome Morgan, you have come to the right forum for knowledge, support &inspiration . Sounds like a lot is on your plate right now. I had sleep apnea too and my Dr told me it would most likely cure itself by losing weight, so don't worry about the future with that. Good luck on your journey!
  10. Polly, after you hit 500 post you can change the name to whatever you want, through my settings in profile. J/S
  11. I felt really bad for Rex Ryan b/c he took a boat load of crap off of ppl. It made me sick to read all the nasty things ppl were saying. You know "he took the easy way out".pffff
  12. You might want to call Dr and tell them how your feeling, they might let you start your protein early and that would help. Give them a call, that's what they're there for. Good Luck!
  13. Also got a Heparin shot just before surgery to minimize risk.
  14. Woohoo Thats awesome! Congratulations!
  15. MiniMi is right! What's done is done. Learn from it and move on. Can't live on what ifs. Best wishes!
  16. Congratulations & best wishes on your new journey becoming healthier!
  17. Filling is when the Dr injects saline into your band to give you the restriction to help you feel more satisfied with less food for longer periods of time. Some ppl need multiple fills to get there and some ppl need very little or none. It is not painful. Like I said in previous post, a little stick, like a shot and all done. The thought of it is more painful than the actual injection!
  18. Nerves are all part of it. Focus on the prize of a healthier you! You'll be in my thoughts & prayers! PS don't forget chapstick.
  19. Congratulations! LOL, yes sip, walk and rest. Walking is your friend right now!
  20. Like Tom says, water & protein. I don't want to be a down, but it could take a few fills before you get enough restriction. I've had 1 fill and I am satisfied with smaller amounts, but still not in green zone. Most Drs don't spend enough time on this part of journey. Its rough, but doable. Hang in there! You'll be so happy you did, promise!
