Most surgeons say no carbonation ever. Carbonation can lead to a stretched pouch as well as slips.
-
Mine is ok with it, i have tried it a couple of times but every time I drink carbonated drinks I hurt like if I was having a bad stuck episode. I heard it could cause stretched pouch and even a slip!

My Dr also does not allow carbonation. I used to drink only Dt.Mt Dew and since surgery I don't even miss it. Matter of fact, I prefer plain water now.
