  1. Yes this is correct. I didn't know this after my surgery and I was sooo bloated from to much water to fast. This will past quicker than anything else. Hang in there. 2mths out and can chug water if I want.
  2. WTG POLLY! So proud of you. Congratulations!
  3. I almost missed a month by 1wk b/c my Dr was away and bariatric staff went crazy saying you can't miss one month. We called my PCP right from Bari Office and asked to see who was covering for my PCP and just made it. But all insurances are different and I would give them a call and ask.
  4. Not at all. I had two of them before banding and there's nothing to it. You go in with an empty stomach, change into gown and have all your vitals taken and hook up to monitors. They put you out and the next thing you know they're saying time to wake up. You get dress and go home. Absolutely no pain at all. I even had biopsies taken and had no ill effects from that. Don't give it a second thought
  5. My lapband brochure says that if you over eat or over drink it can cause nausea too. Being dehydrated can cause nausea, stomach bug or antibiotics like Chez said. There are many things that could cause it and I guess your Dr is the best to advice you. Hope you feel well soon.

So glad you didn't have to get an unfill. I keep hearing ppl say that your band is not the same after an unfill. But now you won't have to find out. You will be in my thoughts & prayers Tuesday.

You got one very smart band! Hope she has a better day tomorrow.
  9. Picked my 8 yo grandson up from school today . Took him to Micky D's and Christmas shopping and every time I looked at him I was so thankful to still have him and so heart broken for the family's that are not going to have their love ones come home today. I can't even imagine the pain they are going through. My heart would literally break. Father God almighty may your love and mercy touch these families, may they be comforted in knowing millions of people are mourning for them and with them. Father please erase the horror these young children witnessed today and comfort them with the thought that their friends are now in a place of peace. Lord we all need your help and wisdom on how to see that this never happens again. We know to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to kill and a time to heal , a time to laugh and a time to grieve.Help us through these times Father. In Jesus Name Amen
  10. That's a good one! Congratulations!
  11. In this case when the end of the thread is "I need help" that's what is give. I am a friend of OP and I talked with him as I would my best friend. Ask CG, when I tell her to shut up and put your big girl panties on, she knows its in love.Thats the problem with writing replys, you don't get tone of voice , body language or feelings. Like real life personalities clash sometimes. I for one would not bother being on here if not to try and help someone. I too am just 2mths out not in green zone and just share what helps me. You can take it or not Love & good wishes to all my bandy's
  12. Congratulations! I'm almost there and thats my first big goal. Woohoo!
  13. Any loss is a good loss. Your Dr sounds very conservative. If this fill doesn' t work I would insist on another fill in a month. 7 mths between fills , presuming you had one at 6wks,seems along time. Congrats on WL!
  14. It's like them saying you need to eat Breakfast 30 mins after getting up. I don't want to eat for about 2hrs after getting up.
  15. Polly you're back, sort of!
  16. Well if it's b/c you're "really hungry and eat really big bites", that kinda explains it. Stop doing that!lol Still would mention it to your Dr though. Bee Well
  17. My Dr told me not to eat if I wasn't hungry, said when my body needed it ,it would let me know. I can not force myself to swallow anything if I'm not hungry. He told me I could drink up to eating, but I think I need to stop at least 30mins before b/c I think that's what fills me. Haven't seen Nut in 3 mths. Like aj says, I think we have to do what works for us.Right now this is working for me, but if it stops I'll have to talk with the Nut.
  18. Now I was told, don't eat if you're not hungry other days 3 meals a day ,most days don't have snacks
  19. 2 mths out here and my stomach still growls. Have not got enough fills for restriction yet. I like my stomach growling it lets me know I'm burning fat. I know I'm weird! I really wish you would not be eating anything not on your plan. You could cause some real damage if your stomach is churning and trying to digest that food. Plus if you're eating chips & biscuits you're setting yourself up for bad eating habits. It's too soon! When I has hungry between meals I drink Hot Chai tea or sf hot chocolate and that helped. Pretty soon you should be able to start drinking as much water as you want. I think I was just restricted for the first week and now I can gulp down water with no problem. 1st week cold water did hurt my stomach, needed room temp. Just drink as much as you can between meals, that alone should keep you feeling full. Bee Healthy!
