  1. Glad nothing serious aj! As usual, your experiences will help me in the future. Thanks for sharing this with us.
  2. One more thing off your " to do" list. Glad it went well. You luck out not having all those goofy questions. My hub's still trying to figure out how I passed the psych eval.LOL
  3. Most likely that is your port. It stay sore for awhile and it feels like a big knot under your skin,
  4. I have 5 incision site too, 3 small ones, 2 larger. Port site the biggest. 9wks out now and they're just now shrinking and fading.
  5. You're absolutely correct. Itching means healing and the port site stays sore for some time.
  6. Hang in there GF! You're only getting started and things will get better and this is not the time for losing, but healing. I promise you'll be happy in a short time.
  7. Banditiff, another thing that seems to help me is when I'm really hungry between meals, I have a hot cup of tea (Chai) or Diet Hot Chocolate with splenda. I don't know, but it seems the warmth of it settles my grumbles in my tummy.
  8. I too weigh my solid Proteins at 3oz and use measuring cup for everything else. If I eyeball something, it turns out I have huge eyeballs .LOL
  9. Congratulations! Take care & keep us posted. We're all here for you!

  12. I'm there with you sister! I think the above posters gave you great advice. I use MyFitnessPal and track my solid Protein to 60gr and stay at 1000 cal. You might want to work it out that you eat smaller amounts every couple hrs. You'll be eating all day, but staying within calorie limit & protein requirements. It does take some finessing. Best wishes! My next fill Jan 6
  13. That is fantastic! Keep it up everyone!
  14. Congratulations! Thank you for sharing, we all need encouragement. I'm very happy for you.
  15. Thoughts and prayers with you tomorrow! I would worry about you if you weren't worried & nervous.lol Don't think about surgery, think about a new healthier you. Keep us posted
  16. You're doing fantastic sweetheart. Get your rest!
  17. LOL. Merry Christmas to all too!
  18. I was banded in October too. I have been living by the 1cup rule with protein being the first to be eaten. Christmas will be challenging but I want health right now, more than fattening stuff that will make me miserable in the long run. Best Wishes this Holiday!
  19. Of course you're stressed and nervous , I know I was. I think our minds are our biggest enemy sometimes. Keep your eyes on the prize of a new healthier you!
  20. Best wishes for a smooth surgery & speedy recovery barry! Check back in with us and lets us know how it went.
  21. Congratulations and welcome to the forum! Let the fun begin. It will get fun when your pants start drooping and blouses fall off your shoulders. I just had fun taking a whole bag of clothes to goodwill. I did make sure to save my biggest pair. I want to be one of those ladies that can stick both legs in one pant leg. Can you imagine?! Like any adventure though, there will be ups and downs. Nice thing is though, we'll be right here helping you through it.
  22. That's a funny thing b/c I thought my Dr didn't order a pre op diet for everyone b/c I didn't have to do one and found out later yes he does.He just didn't feel I needed one. Another girl was in hospital room next to me and we were talking on one of our walks and she had the two week liquid diet. I had been dieting for 6mths though. Back to what you're doing. He must have a reason why he wants you on a liquid diet and you best do want he says. You don't want him to open you up and then close you without the band. That does happen. Get back on your diet, one time most likely won't hurt, but I wouldn't take any more chances. Best Wishes!
