  1. Hi Alex... Would I so this again. Uh YES!!! To say it has been life changing is putting it mildly. I feel so much better. Not only with 185 lbs gone... Yep 185 pounds gone... But my sense of happiness has increased beyond anything I could have imagined. The weight is really where I want to be... The mind is still catching up but I'm getting there!!!
  2. Alcohol is not really my thing. Glad I don't have to deal with this dilemma!!
  3. He really sounds like a keeper!!! Keep the lines of communication open.
  4. I wanted to respond to this thread as well last night but didn't want to come across as the wrong tone. I too have read your posts and hope and pray you are in therapy as well. I think a good professional will be able to help you. Bless your heart and the struggles you have. I know that you will flourish once some of the underlying things are solved. HUGS!!
  5. I don't know if its my confidence or what but I find people ... Strangers... Accept me more as a smaller person then as a larger person. People converse more... Or maybe it's me becoming more outgoing. It's a tough question to answer. Regardless I feel better... Happier which probably makes me more approachable.
  6. I'm not a dude but started at 340 and am now maintaining about 155-158.. Had surgery 02/21/11.. My experience has been really good!!
  7. Maybe you aren't ready. It's a big decision and life altering in so many ways. You need go be sure this is what you want
  8. Patience young grasshopper ... People who have surgery expecting it to come off overnight often get discouraged. It will come off.. That I can promise you... Just in its own time. Fat seems to have a mind of its own. Sounds like you are doing everything right and your weightloss is beyond phenomenal!!!!
  9. Your liver will be fine!!! Good luck Monday!!
  10. Follow your dr orders !!!
  11. Calm down... There is not a person here who didnt slip up during the pre op diet... I promise everything will be ok. Get back on the wagon and quit beating yourself up... You got this!!!
  12. I used to get that pain... Felt like someone was stabbing me in my gut. Figured out that was my new hunger pain. I have to eat a little something about every 3 hours to not get that pain.
  13. Is there a supervisor you can talk to... not to make things worse but they are creating a hostile work environment for you and that should not be tolerated. Dont hide girl... we have hidden our whole lives. Put a smile on your face and slay the dragon. If that means creating waves with a supervisor to make these small minded women stop then so be it. It is time for you to be selfish. This is your time. Embrace the new you!!!!
  14. Sounds like you are doing great. Remember it's not a race. Your body is gonna give up the weight at its own pace. Congrats on how well you are doing so far!!!

  21. Girl you look fabulous!!! Congrats!!
  22. So many... I use a normal towel after I shower instead of a beach towel. I use a normal public bathroom stall instead of the handicap stall. I cross my legs all the time. I don't sweat as much. I am never out of breath. I can run up the stairs at my house instead of hanging on the banister all the way up. I'm in single digit clothing. I don't dread being in a picture... In fact I'm front and center now. So many more.... I smile all the time now!!!
