My story is like many I have read here. I have been researching this for over two years. Like Oprah i have yo-yo'd for the past 40 years, but the last ten mostly up up up. My mother passed away this January and she left me with her genetics and build but I have decided to change my destiny for the next however many years once and for all. It is scary but not as scary as the toll of being fat and out of shape and unhealthy. So, if all goes well my surgery is tentatively scheduled for August 6th or 13th. I just completed all my pre-op work yesterday and am told it takes 2 weeks for authorization. Hopefully there Weill be no glitches. Would love to chat with anyone who is going to or has had their surgery at Huntington Hosp in Pasadena Calif. and Dr Martin, but of course all are welcome!!! Will be back as soon as dates are confirmed or some other question pops in my head.
