  1. I'm just over 5 weeks an struggle with right side pain off and on. Today it was bad So I even put my binder back on. Probabaly doing too much. Dr told me it happen for no reason to due to the muscles inside. Should go away soon
  2. Mine too and I'm doing the same. I have added cheese though for some substance. Ill be sure to do full liquids for the 48 hours though. Time for a Popsicle
  3. Pre op liquid diet = ouchie belly for me! I think it's all the sugar free stuff. Makes for interesting days at work. . Other than that- it's not bad...
  4. Ugh what a damn bummer! I would be furious!! So I'm with you on this one. At the same time- you can't give up. Do the liquid diet and in just a couple weeks this can happen for you. Be my inspiration here. Don't give up on this. Some positives: 1) anesthesia went well for you yes? So no worries next time then? 2). You know exactly what you need to do and you can do it- black and white I'm not sure what your work situation is though- how will that work out? So sorry to hear this but hang on....... :)
  5. Has anyone tried the new Blueberry Lemonade Mio? Yummmmmy . I also am a MiO fan...
  6. I think that sounds so exciting!
  7. Made it through day one. It's not bad. Funny thing today when I was getting something in my purse at work and there were two olive garden mints iny purse..... Automatically unwrapped one and threw it in my mouth, chewed twice and had this "oh no!" feeling and quickly spit it out. Needless to say I threw the other one out too. . Hahaha- needless to say this may just be a very long 7 days
  8. Ohhh so sorry you're dealin wih this. I haven't had surgery yet but I do have experience with such complications from removing my gall bladder. Leaks- stents- MRSA- pancreatitis and a very long time in the hospital so I do feel for you. I'm familiar with having home health and pic lines etc and that was the pits!!! A second opinion isn't a bad idea if you honestly think your doc isn't competent enough. I feel, though, that this probabaly isn't the case and surely s/he must be consulting with others too? I would ask if you haven't already. It does seem long for you to be dealing with this. I'm sorry f this is a dumb question but did they go in and re staple/suture at all or are they addressing it by hoping it heals? Just wondering and if not- why would they not try that? Maybe they did. You will get better- what have they told you lately as prognosis and treatment planning?
  9. Congratulations . That's a good feeling!
  10. I have to use heparin and did so during both pregnancies due to a blood clot. Not the most in but doable. I think they r just giving me some before surgery and after. I'm just wondering if they r Doin this because you all had blood clots or is this typical?
  11. Omg- I just looked at my Protein shake bottle to see how much that was. Not much.
  12. I had blood panels done, EKG and chest X-ray. I see a lot of people also had an endoscopy done but I didn't . I'm sure others will chime in too. Good luck!
  13. I woke up and actually said to myself half asleep "hellllllooo protein shakes". Wish me luck. I hope I can drop a few before surgery next Wednesday
