Yay! I'm pregnant! Just tested positive yesterday, I really can't believe it! Only two months off the pill and two years of trying before sleeve. This is a true blessing

I confess I am 15 days post op and irritated I have only lost 12 lbs.
I confess I know that is irrational.
I confess I miss food everyday.
I confess I'm both elated and frightened that I seem to have a sleeve of steel.
I confess I'm scared to be thin as I have no idea what's that like.

I've had my mirena since we had my daughter 15 months ago, if I haven't gotten pregnant yet, then I think we're fine. I've done a lot more crazy things sexually before this sleeve that'd be not willing to try so quickly post op, so I think we're okay. But you're right, people can still get prego, everything's only 99.9% effective. Besides abstinence! And that's NOT my style! Lmao

Yes, that pain is normal. However, it is extremely important to be cognisant of what you are doing and how much you are lifting. While you are healing, you can inujure yourself if you do not follow doctors orders and only lift what you should. Take it easy
As for the protein, you need to go buy samples of several different products and find one that works for you. Personally, I cannot stomach the Isopure.< em> I tried many flavors. I found I liked the Atkins premade, but I also discovered Premiere Protein Shakes. they are at sam's club and have 30 g of protein per shake.< /p>
I bought powdered protein from GNC and it makes me instantly run to the bathroom. It was almost $20 a bag, so that's why I encourage you to buy single servings before committing to a kind/brand!

Well it's the last day of the month. I hope everyone of you all are doing well with your surgeries and healing process. Hard to believe the month is already over, and yet I do believe we were the biggest surgery group so far. Anyone know what our final surgery count was for the month?
Anyway, I wish us all the best of luck in the future, and hope everyone learns the in's and out's our our new tummies.

O.T.R. : I only find two places in this thread where the name of God was mentioned.
1) We have a four year old. Granted it was all talk when we opted to not be so "careful" anymore and thought it would happen when God wants it to happen.
2) We'd definately be having a "come to Jesus" meeting...
The first was referencing the conception of a child. The second is nothing more than a figure of speech, not a literal reference. If I overlooked one, you get my point anyway... Do you toss your wife out of the house 7 days a month due to her uncleanliness ? Have you eaten or touched any pork, worked on a Sunday, or trimmed your hair and beard ??? According to the bible, these things, among many others, are abominations that call for death as a punishment. Don't even get me started on the other parts that sanction things like selling your daughter into slavery, or getting the entire town together to stone someone because they were blasphemous or cursing. It goes on and on, ad nauseum....
Yes, you are correct that no marriage is 50/50, I stand corrected. A marriage is 100/100 and in the 21st Century, yes, if you want to live well above the poverty level BOTH parents work outside the home, unless one of you has an unusually high paying job,. No one was selectively referencing the Bible, and quite frankly, I find the concept of "man" being the hunter/provider and "woman" being the subservient little wife who is supposed do everything else including wait hand and foot on her "man" absolutely laughable, and I am a christian woman. "Providing" for your family is about SO much more than "providing" a paycheck. Children do benefit from having both parents in the home, but only if BOTH parents participate in a thoughtful, productive, and supportive manner. It's 2012, not 1912, and a woman "needs" a man, like a fish "needs" a bicycle !!!
I kept a trash can handy when changing diapers and I barfed into it way more than once, so I "just couldn't handle it" either, but I damn sure did it anyway; repulsive or not; and so did my barfing ex-husband. He "just couldn't handle" it either, plus alot of other things, and that's how he became an ex.

Thank you so much for posting this. I got sleeved 8/3 and going through exactly the same thing. I was getting super frustrated n was worried I was doing something wrong. But now I feel a lil less stressed.
