Frustrated! What Am I Doing Wrong?
Hello everyone, I was sleeved 8/2, so I'm a little over 3 weeks post op. The first week, I lost 12 lbs! I could hardly believe it! Since then, I've lost 3 more lbs. It's been super frustrating, as the scale will be down one, then up one, then down one over and over again. I know there is a stall around 2 weeks out-but does it last for two weeks?! I am exercising, nothing crazy, walking and elliptical. I average between 650-800 calories. Any ideas/help/advice? Thanks in advance.

Hell no! I hear your reasons for wanting one, but this will severely mess with your healing!! Get out a pen and piece of paper and journal. Watch your favorite tv show or movie. Read a book. You can do this and get through this.- 9 Days Out
Jealous! We get to start soft foods 3 weeks out. Enjoy!- How Are Things Going?
Hey Everyone! We are 8 days into August! Some of us have been sleeved, some of us have not-where is everyone at! I was sleeved 8/2. The first day was rough, but since then I've been doing pretty good! down about 12 lbs since surgery!! yay! mama's been trying on some skinny pants today....and they fit! Hallelujah !- 5 Days Post Op And Down :(
I'm thinking she means she's lost 40 lbs since she began the wls journey.- Progress!
Allright! You are on your way! congrats!- 5 Days Post Op And Down :(
Keep in mind, that you will eventually be able to eat just about anything. Just less of it So yes, right now you are recovering and not eating what your family eats. But before you know it you can cook a healthy, high Protein meal that you all can share. Just everyone's portions will be different. As Tonja said, what you are experiencing is completely normal. food has served as our best friend and comforter for a long, long time for many of us. Just take it one day at a time, and before you know it you will be embracing your new life.- 4 All Those Who Are Scared
Well said! Thanks for your story.- Need Advice
Well, you could always go back to liquids for a few days to 'restart' yourself and get some focus. It's so hard to take care of ourselves correctly when we have other stressors, but it's a must! Start tracking. They make a lot of ways to do it very easily, on your phone or my fitness pal. Force yourself to take 15 minutes and do it. It sounds like you know what you need to do (more Protein, more exercise), now it's up to you to take control. I'm very sorry about your loss.- Nerves Before Surgery
I was just sleeved on 8/2. What you are going through is completely normal! I made two lists for myself of things I hate about being fat and what I am looking forward to after surgery. The things ranged from petty to major. I hated being judged on my appearance. I hated freaking out if I would fit in a booth, etc. I could not wait to delve into my 'skinny' clothes I had been holding on to for years. Just keep reminding yourself of your long term goals and what led you to start pursuing this surgery in the first place.- Day Of Surgery Question
My hubby was there and left late evening. He then returned around 8 am next morning. I think you will be fine alone, you are pretty out of it and sleepy !- MamaMelly

Tomorrow is my day! I cannot believe it!- Three Questions About Vsg...
I have BCBS, and I know that my insurance considers your weight from your first appointment and prior. They understand that once you begin the process you will probably lose weight. As for the comorbidities, every insurance company is different. I know mine consideres osteoarthritis to be a comorbidity, and others do not. Good Luck in your journey!- I Want To Cry... :(

I have BCBS and heard in a little over a week.- Do You Ever Wake Up......
Yes. I've being sleeved tomorrow and have really been second guessing myself. But deep down I know this is something I need to do for my health and quality of life. Sure I've lost a little weight before but I've always gained it back. For me, what it boils down to is what do do I love more-life or food?- Woman In Bathroom Becomes Hysterical After Looking In Mirror
