  1. Let's find one positive that isn't discussed enough... use this time to really get a jump on exercise. I am a firm believer that the better shape you are in before surgery, the easier your post-op experience will be. Start walking, maybe running, whatever you can do. I was surprised how quick my endurance and stamina increased, even at 400lbs. Good luck with everything. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  2. Go to a forum and read sleever's talking down on the bander's. Nobody ever makes a bad decision on the internet... until they make a new one.
  3. How many people that post on here have had their surgery in the US vs MX? Sent from my mobile productivity killer.

  5. Excellent, thank you for sharing. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  6. My cholesterol was slightly elevated during my preop testing that was done right before surgery. On a recent visit to my PCP, he suggested starting an RX to help lower it. After a discussion around my new diet and whether it would drop on its own, we both decided to do blood work at the 3 month point and see if it has dropped that little bit needed. So my question is, have you noticed a drop in cholesterol levels post op? While I'm eating much less, much healthier and exercising, I can't help but wonder if the focus on Protein will prevent my numbers from improving. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.

I started eating salad not long after I was on regular foods. Of course, not much at any sitting due to Protein first, but I don't have any issues with it. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  8. I was given the OK to drink faster at my 10 day followup. For the first few days it would take about 30 mins to drink a 20oz bottle. Slowly it got netter, 2.5 months out I can chug a 20oz bottle in just a minute. We're all different. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  9. I wasn't too fond of his style of communication myself, I also would only have surgery at Baylor TC. I left his office so mad that I went for a second opinion at another doc. I ended up going back to Dr Kim and Baylor TC. Whatever helps make us skinny.
  10. Any dwf'ers want to get together sometime for a hike at Eagle Mountain Park in NFW/Haslet? My wife and I go here often and its a lot of fun, certainly beats a treadmill or the road. Its nothing extreme, all maintained trails with some up and down hills, several paths, good views, tons of deer and rabbit etc. Let me know. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  11. Fort Worth here. Surgery by Dr Kim on 6/26. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  12. I don't venture into this room.. the one time I do, you go and steal the one thing I was gonna say... so I just quoted it for truth!! Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  13. Did you buy ready to drink or powder? I think the rtd taste good. +1 on taste changing. I can't drink a single Protein that I liked pre-op. Darn cabinet full of unflavored
  14. I've never heard of him, but the people at trophy club are wonderful! Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  15. I would do surgery again tomorrow, just for the few days off of work. hang in there. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  16. Ditto all of the above. I was dropping like crazy, slowed down and then in the past 2 weeks I've gained 2lbs. Brutal. I've upped my exercise and Water intake too. Grrrrr! Sent from my mobile productivity killer.

I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy that says after a lil sum'in sum'in that he enjoys his workouts and walks much better.
  18. Same old story, nothing new. The comments did provide some needed entertainment though. Its funny to read the highest and lowest rated comments. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  19. Agreed, you should check with your doc. We hear a lot about hormones being released during the fat burn, so you may just need a little change. I too lost that "high/burst" about two weeks abo when I hit my 8 week slowdown/stall. Yesterday though, it seemed to return. Keep your head up and don't try to do it on your own, reach out.
  20. Wow, that sounds like the smallest sleeve ever. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  21. I've been going to the driving range 2-3 times a week since about six weeks. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
  22. Tuna kits, canned chicken, jerky and rtd muscle milk are my on the road meals, none require refrigeration. I'm not eatting nuts or Protein bars, but those would work too, if they fit into ur diet plan. Sent from my mobile productivity killer.
