  1. Sandra, my dr says no food 12 hours before a fill and liquids only the following 24 hours.
  2. Funny you say that, my surgery was 6/28/12 and I'm still bruised where I got the anti clot shot. Is this normal too???

  5. I've noticed a few times since my band surgery in June of this year that I will wake up to thick sticky spit in the back of my throat that requires conscience deep swilling. It lasts an hour and by the time it's over, my throat is sore. It's also accompanied relux. I wait a good time from eating to going to bed. Any suggestions?
  6. There was nothing he could do, he said it would have to just heal. He did gi ve me liquid lidocaine to help numb my throat but it was little relief.
  7. It had to be, process of eliminations, that was my drs best guess. I also had a hernia repaired and my stomach was too high and pushing into my lung so that caused extra trauma and swelling. Good now.

  14. I dont watch calories, but I don't do caffeine, it's not my time of the month, and I'm probably under my protein intake. Im bad at this!

  17. I agree with you, it's discouraging to see our doctors being so unhealthy.
  18. I had my surgery June 28, had a full to 2 cc's late July and a 2nd fill 2 more cc's a week ago. I started at 170 but being 4'10 I needed to lose at least 50 lbs. I had lost a total of 25 lbs from pre-surgery diet until this week. Now somehow I've gained 1-2 lbs. how does this happen? What am I doing wrong?!

  20. Does anyone ever take a chance and drink carbonated drinks?
  21. I'm getting worse each day rather than better! Today ive only been able to drink half a protein shake and a small Gatorade. Ive been nauseas and dry heaving for the past hour and still am in so much pain, especially in my esophagus!
  22. Update: today if im standing up or even sitting up the pain in my jaw and under my chin is unbearable. It hurts every time i breathe in!
  23. This pain is different than the gas pain i felt on days 1-2. But thank you for your reply.
