First Fill

I had surgery on July 26th. I got the lap band with plication. My surgeon calls it the I-band. It holds 13cc's.

I had my first fill today. It was a piece of cake! My surgeon put in 3 cc's. I drank Water & the water felt like it was hung at the top of my throat. It made a weird little gurgling sound. He took out a half cc. Taking out that tiny bit made the water go right down.

I'm on mushies for 5 days & then back to regular food.

Good to hear u had a pain free fill .. thats how fills should go :)

Im getting mine first fill today at 7:30 pm... Any advice?? Can I eat before I get it??

Full liquids for sure ( my doc says 3 days to be cautious) then mushies until I can tolerate solids...a few more days. I tend to take it easy after a fill.

thank you ladies

First fill today. 3cc's. I feel now that I have gas stuck in my throat like I need to burp. I'm scared to eat. They didn't tell me to just do liquids.

As a precaution do liquids and mushies, in a few days that feeling will pass. I had that same feeling with my second fill and it settled within 24 hours.
