  1. I just finished my pre-op labs and everything is a go! I am excited and terrified. I have Kaiser insurance and they have it down- very structured. Here is my timeline: 6/30/11 Bariatric Overview Class 8/9/11 Bariatric Orientation 8/18/11 Consult with Surgeon- Dr Park 9/1/11 Bariatric Psychologist appt 9/26/11 Nurse Case Manager appt 10/25/11 Nutrition/Post-Op Care Class 11/10/11 Pre-Op Physical 11/28/11 VSG Surgery with Dr. Park
  2. You look great Diva! Your progress is amazing. I can't wait to get a breast reduction/augmentation. It was one of my biggest motivators to get sleeved. First, a normal sized body with the sleeve, then normal sized breasts. Yay!
  3. SoCal is a little different than NorCal, but basically there is no official stamp of approval. Once you meet with your surgeon and they confirm that you are a good candidate for surgery, then you know you are on your way. Meet your weight loss goal and attend all other appointments, and you will get a surgery date. I suggest you join the SoCal group and speak to them directly for the specifics. Good Luck!!
  4. I say go for it too! I got braces(for the second time) in my late 30s. My teeth really hurt for a few weeks and I couldn't eat much. Sounds like a perfect time to be on a liquid diet
  5. My dietician said cow's milk, no almond milk. I really like Almond milk and it is as low as 40 cal while skim is 90. But... almond milk only has 1g protein and skim milk has 9g.
