  2. I'm so sorry that is disappointing but I truely believe your doctor knows best. Hang in there it will be worth it.
  3. Has anyone else had this problem. My 1st fill was two weeks ago and they ran into problems finding my port due to swelling and scar tissue. They said they may have got 2 to 3 cc's in, so today needing a fill very bad I go back. Same problem today I still have swelling and this time they even got the sonogram machine on me and still can't really find the port. Now I have to go back on Monday for some type of xray to see if they can see the port. I'm very upset and nervous about this, I really hope there is not a problem because if they have to go back in I don't know what I'll do. They poked me several times and I still don't think we got anything, I'm so confused and now very sore, bruised and swollen. Please tell me has anyone else had this happen to them
  4. Her blog is so inspiring, I have saved it to my favorites and anytime I need that push I can look at it and know if she can I can. Thanks so much for sharing it with me!!
  5. WOW Her blog is the inspiration I need, I plan to go to it everyday and know if she can I can. Thanks so much for sharing it!!!
  6. I really don't expect miracles. Probably just need that extra push to get me to where I need to be physically and emotionally. I am dealing with a lot of personal stuff (as most are) on top of this. The day after my surgery my daughter who has lived away for 7 years moved back in with us and as much as I love her being here it's been a challenge along with this. Yes I have to get on with the band wagon and exercise more, I was doing pretty well with my walking and then the rains came and I think it will rain forever but there are other things I can do now that I have almost completely healed. I have definitely seen some differences and others have to, I just need someone who's been there to remind me of how, why and when.
  7. Feeling a little discouraged. I had my surgery on July 26th I had lost 10 pounds on the pre diet. I did not get any resistance until 3 weeks after surgery and now only have 3 cc's due to complications last time I had a fill. Since I have lost 8-10 pounds more and I say that because it seems to fluctuate a lot! I can eat almost anything and unfortunatly now I can eat a lot more of it and I'm hungry all the time. I just fill stuck. I have a dr appt late today and am hoping we can get a new fill in without the trama we had last time. I hoped I would lose 40-50 pounds by late November for our Disney trip but now I don't know if that will happen. My oldest daughter gives me the evil eye everytime we eat together because she is watching what I eat as much if not more than I do but I stay hungry. My calorie intake seems to be going up everyday, I'm still under 1200 calories but I have to do something quick. Mainly just need someone out there that's been through this to give me some good advice.

Had my 1st fill yesterday and it did not go well. I went in very positive that I wasn't going to have those problems I've heard about but I did. I have some fluid behind my 2 large incisions so they tried to remove that. Then I wanted a fill because I have no resistance, the port has moved deeper so it took a while to find during that time they did a lot of poking on it. Thank goodness for numb drug!!! I don't think I could have handled it without because it was still painful. I don't want to scare anyone my doctor promised me this is unusual to have problems and even said a lot of times people with my very fair skin have more issues than others (in anything!!!) ahhh sometimes being a red head is not fun! Anyway I did like that his scale says I've lost 2 more pounds than mine did so I'll take it!!! I go back in two weeks, they were only able to do 3CC's so in two weeks they will try again and I'm sure it will be better!
  9. I love the fact that I no longer focus on food or time for lunch etc!! It's only been 3 weeks and my entire outlook on food has changed!
  10. I would tell you to try to refrain from them. My doctor really didn't have a big problem with me having them but said if I did he would rather me drink a regular soda than a diet and that I probably wouldn't want them anyway. He said anything with asperatame is bad bad bad for anyone, he will not allow anything in his home with it. Suggested I only use Truvia or real sugar which would be empty calories. I don't know if he put some sort of spell on me when he said that because I use to drink Diet Dr. Pepper constantly, now I haven't had one since July 15th, the day before my pre op diet started. I did take a sip of one just the other day just to see and honestly it didn't even taste good anymore. Plus the carbonation can cause you some discomfort with the band so I say no to soda's!! Crystal Light now has CL pure which is made with truvia, I am stooked about it and I use it to drink Iced tea (In the South you have to have your iced tea!)
  11. Great will do that now. Thanks!!!
  12. Thanks my nutritionist really didn't give me a number so to speak. I will have to talk to them aobut it Monday. I wasn't getting enough protein to begin with but now that I'm keeping better track of it I am so I feel much better. Thank you for your response it does help.
