refuse to watch live tv since they have soooo many commercials i tape everything on my DVR - watch later - fast forward through all those nasty food commercials for Cookies, pizza etc.
i don't need that torture - and i do save time by "bypassing" way toooo many commercials
"hearing" all those distractions with food - who needs them, not me

Don't let the comments, or lack there of, from others get ya down! You are doing a fabulous job! Have people asked you questions about other aspects of your appearance? People that didn't know I had surgery would usually ask me if I had cut my hair, or changed it in some way. They knew something was different, but couldn't figure out what. Also, your clothes may be too big, so it may not be as noticeable. Last night I went to buy some new jeans. I tried on a pair one size smaller than what I've been wearing. The sales girl laughed and gave me pair 3 sizes smaller, and they fit! I'm still in shock! Lol. I'm over a year post op, and my has pretty much leveled off, so I was not expecting that drastic of a change. But enough about me, just give it some time.

I had to do a few shots prior to surgery. I let my four-year-old daughter do the last one. She loved it. I then pretended it gave me superpowers and had a fun day playing with her before getting cut open and not being able to lift her for six weeks.

A nurse by profession and engaged but no kids. With my history of PCOS kids will come after I drop the weight. Starting weight: 280lbs Current Weight: 275 and losing everyday!!

I'll bet people notice but don't feel comfortable saying anything. I have come across that several times. Some finally said something and then told me they weren't sure if they should have. People can be funny like that.

Really LT? this is kinda harsh. Just giving my opinion and that's what this site is for. We are not BULLIES as you imply. We just choose not to eat the stuff that got us fat to begin with. Some people can't do moderation and some can. No big deal. Not angry or offended just saying I choose not to eat or drink foods that are loaded with calories.

I had this surgery to lose weight and to improve my healthy eating habits. A milk shake is full of sugar and is void from my diet totally. Try exercising or increasing your Protein with a Protein Shake. I love Premier chocolate shakes, it reminds me of a milk shake. It is on my no list forever.

Not to sound harsh, but if you can't follow doctor's orders for a week or two, how are you going to follow the guidelines for this lifestyle change you're attempting to embark on? If you mess up your sleeve, going through the surgery is going to be pointless...

Man vs food use to be my favorite show now it makes me sick to watch it. I'm a man and I have conquered food.

October 10 is the first day if the rest of my life!!! Super excited!!! Can't wait to be sleeved!!!

Here's a tag! Name the top 5 things you will not miss or will be glad to say "goodbye" to forever post op! Here's mine to start
1. The stares from people. Followed by the whispers. I can still hear you when I have literally just walked past u and u say to your friend "look how big/fat she is"
2. The sweating. I'm 25 years old...I am not anywhere near menopause but omg being overweight gives me a glimpse of what night sweats and hot flashes are gonna feel like.
3. The smell...I don't know how else to put it. But ever since I started gaining weight there's that smell that comes with being overweight...tmi perhaps but it's a foul odor from my folds..and especially under my breasts (im top heavy)
4. The disappointment at clothing stores. You know when you see something and you think of course that's gonna fit! But I'm gonna try it on anyways...and it's way too tight? Not gonna miss that! Or worse when ur too tired or annoyed to try it on at the store and u go home to try it and realize its too tight..go to return it and when the cashier says "was there something wrong with it?" and u say yeah it was too big/lose when the truth is it was the opposite but u were too ashamed to say.
5. Being out of breath after the smallest things - walking 10 stairs to the 2nd level of my house..are u kidding me? Then having to sit for 5 mins So I can catch my breath! Forget sports or running or just being able to run around with little kids..I can't even walk without feeling winded!!
