  3. Hi all, just want to wish everyone good luck and fast recovery. I am 9 days post op and love the sleeve. It isn't easy, but it is great.
  4. Hi all, honourary member here! Less than 24 hours until I am in the hospital. Hope those on liquid diets are coping well. Today is just clear fluids, not going to be fun but at least get a glimpse of what post op will be like, diet wise! The count down continues ...
  5. I am doing clear liquids today, I suggest everyone keep their distance. For the protein shakes up til now I have been okay. I only had one day where I was cranky and blubbering. Yesterday even forgot to drink one. Today is my only clear fluids day, thankfully. I was intending to stay home but have some last minute tasks at work. I pity the person who gets in my way ... Raaaaaar How many days clear fluid do you have to do?
  6. Weight_no_longer and Julez, how are things going? Had some excitement with Glengarry Hospital today. They couldn't find my forms. Turns out they file them by date and had them in Oct still. Everything is sorted and I am due there for 6.30am on Friday. A long drive to the north but hubby is driving so I can silently sit and freak out. Turns out I have to pay $100 excess that HBF didn't indicate but that is okay, a small price to pay. Hope you are both doing great!
  7. I have to be at the hospital for 6.30am. I suspect I will look like cr@p even before the surgery. I am not a morning person.

  10. Congratulations SoonToBeThinKAT. I hope we can still be sleeve sisters despite you now being 2 days early. IrishEyes and Nacol, I too am September 21st sleever. Just 3 more day ... oh boy!
  11. I'm on Sept 21st, just 3 more days. For the others scheduled on the 21st, there is this thread too if you want to say hi to same day sleevers: www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/51642-anyone-having-surgery-on-921/
  12. Hello to NWLA and to Seven7. I am definitely confirmed for 21 September, just 3 days now. So excited. Got a bit teary over something stupid today, but other than that I hope I'm holding up. My husband got teary this morning about the surgery but he isn't in favour of it so I am only half sympathic. He accepts that it is my decision but that's as far as it goes. So, does that mean there are 4 of us "21 September sleeve sisters" with Joisey01 as our day before twin?
  13. Scary but exciting at the same time. My husband encouraged me to weigh myself and take "before" measurements. I finally weighed myself and I have lost 10 pounds since my last Dr visit. That was the encouragement I needed because I felt so sick and lightheaded yesterday - just wanted to can the liquid diet.

  17. Hi, it is with heavy heart that I must leave the October Sleevers. I have been moved up to September. Please allow me to retain honourary member status.
  18. Hi, I am being sleeved on 21 Sept, I hope. I was originally scheduled for 30 Oct but received a call from the surgeon's office asking if I want to do it next Friday instead. It means starting my liquid diet asap and calling the anaesthetist on Monday to confirm him. He is the critical one now because I won't have time to see him so he will have to be happy to proceed without meeting beforehand.
  19. Thank you weight_no_longer. I went to him because I heard he was a great surgeon.
