Surgery May Be Postponed Because Iron Is Too Low
Ask ur doctor if ur iron is low enough for infusions. Not sure where u live and what kind of medical coverage u have but here in Canada things like that are covered so I'm going to do it! I cant eat any food high in iron right now because I'm on a liquid only pre op but I'm taking 3 iron tabs a day and hopefully these transfusions will send me over that bump

Most of the stories hear will be bad. As another user posted on another thread, are u going to Be reading in the paper about the thousands of airplanes that land safely everyday? Or will u just hear about the 1 that didn't. Will u see on the news about the millions of people that drove safely to and from work everyday? Or will u hear about that 1 deadly crash? Yes there are many bad stories on here but a lot of great ones that no One really posts..because who wants to Hear about VSG being all flowers and sunshine? Lol Keep in mind that yes it's a major operation and yes there are risks involved but the statistics are on ur side!! Say a prayer (if u pray) and go Into this whole heatedly:)- Disgusted By Others Eating

It's not easier though. People who decide to wake up on morning can diet and exercise and eat "normal" foods where as we wake up one morning after surgery and can't eat for a day..then have to drink this awful liquid to make sure we can start drinking fluid. Only drink fluid for a few days, baby food it for 6 weeks only to eat 1/4 of the amount of food other people eat. And we have to continuously count calories carbs proteins for the rest of our lives. Oh yeah, much easier :-/- Emotional Vampires & Toxic People
