  1. Thanks for the honest! I purchased a heat pack and gas x strip. Been using them Already because pre op is causing gas. I like ur idea about the medicine cups
  2. Thanks everyone! I usually freeze my meat (yes I know it's not tw healthiest) and don't plan on eating those until I'm cleared. My NUT has given me a step by step diet plan
  3. I all! I am pre sleeve with a surgery date of Oct 2. Before surgery I wanna be able to do some grocery shopping for must have items while I'm healing. I don't want to be in a grocery store for hours a time looking for things so if u could please list for me some must haves that would be great! So far I have purchase unjury unflavored as well as chicken soup protein powder. I have a nice big jar of vanilla whey isolate body by fortress protein powder. I am thinking cottage cheese, cheese strings, babybell, beans, ricotta cheese, lean meats. Please add to my list!
  4. Dont forget that it's not only about returning to work and being able to work. Most doctor's tell us 4 weeks or 6 weeks to let us have the time To adapt to our new lifestyle change. I'm taking 6 weeks. Don't think if I went back to work in a week that I would be able to focus on myself and getting in all my fluids and protein etc with all the other stress surrounding me
  5. Yeah it's pretty intense. But I don't feel deprived! The smell of food still tempts me but I'm satisfied with the amount of shakes Water and broth I get. 10lbs down since sept 7:) 3 weeks to Go. Hoping for another 20lbs!
  6. I bought this:) had been eyeing it for months. Went on sale when I got my surgery date 3 sizes were left: 18 (current) 10 and 0. I opted for the 10 as I won't be an 18 much longer and 0?...ha! Lol
  7. As anyone experienced a stall during their pre op diet? Mine is shakes and water only. I'm allowed 900-1100 calories a day but I keep it at 900. I have been stuck at the same weight for 3 days. I have to be down to 260 by sept 27 which is my next appt and surgery is oct 2. I have a very strict surgeon who will not operate if im anything over 260...Any advice?
  8. Sorry, when u said chicken broth I assumed u meant broth not cream ????
  9. I am allowed 900-1200 calories a day (I stay near the 900 mark). I am allowed 4 boost diabetic shakes (that totals 760 calories) or 4 glucerna shakes (that totals 900 calories) a day. I try to mix it up by doing 2 glucerna and 2 boost. When I want something other than sweet I drink a cup of low sodium chicken or beef broth which is between 5-10 calories a cup. 64 oz of Water which is so easy to do! Before starting the pre op I barely got in a cup a day. I save some calories for my crystal light and maybe an extra Atkins advantage shake (150 calories) if I'm craving something or get hungry and wanna cheat! I started pre op at 278 lbs on sept 2. Sept 4 and 5 I cheated and ate food..not necessarily unhealthy food but I ate. Restarted the liquids and I am down to 270 (8lb loss) in 7 days. Hoping to lose another 15lbs by oct 2 which is my surgery date. I am on a 4 week liquid diet. Hope this helps
  10. Right now on my pre op im using the Walmart brand low sodium chicken broth. For 2/3 cup the chicken has 10 calories and beef has 5. Both flavors also have 2gm Protein and 0 carbs. Tastes delicious
  11. Love this response!! Puts everything into perspective
  12. Has anyone tried unjury unflavored in applesauce? Still pre op but thinking of the things that will easily go down in post op stages that I could add protein to
  13. Exciting! A new life for both of u, how special to be taking this journey together
