  1. Talk about a "non food reward" that is a hot machine!! And congrats on the weight loss
  2. After they saline locked my IV in the hospital I got sick in the evening and they couldn't administer gravol through my IV. They gave me gravol by mouth and I tolerated it fine
  3. To be honest, not really...I was 280 at my highest 260 the day of surgery. Yesterday I was 248 so 12 lbs since surgery almost 3 weeks ago. I was obsessing over the scale totally beat myself yesterday for gaining a pound so I had a family member hide the scale. I get it back next Friday lol. Going to focus on my Water and Protein intake this week
  4. I am close to 3 weeks post op now. My doctor said not to focus on a goal weight but its easier to achieve ur goals when u focus on smaller goals (ie focus on losing 20lbs first month) because I'm only 5'0, in order for me to be a "normal" BMI I need to be 124. 125 I'm overweight. I have been 130 before and looked disgusting. But do I really want to do something as big as VSG to be 150lbs (I think this is where I will look healthy) and still be considered overweight? I brought this up with my surgeon. He said my body will decide when it's done losing weight
  5. Yes, RIP mcsteamy..at least we still have Avery Jackson! Lol
  6. That's an insane amount of weight to lose in a week. If u keep going at that rate u will lose 40lbs in a month where as the average for 1st month is 20-30lbs. I am 2.5 weeks out and total of 13lbs lost since surgery. I started at 260 day of Surgery. Don't worry ur doing fine
  7. Look what came in the mail today!!! So excited:) so now that I have 2 lifetime supplies of torani sugar free syrup..tell me what u use them for? I know people like putting them on coffee..what else?
  8. No my plan is very strict. I tried soft scam belled eggs today...came up faster than they went down! Oh well...I will eat again
  9. I'd kill for even a fat free one right now. I'm on full liquids until the 1st of November..only 2 weeks post op!
  10. My mind is playing tricks on me. I thought the first line in ur entry was "like hot dogs"? Instead of like hot food! U can see how badly I have been craving a hot dog lol
  11. So today I went for my first post op massage. Before surgery I went once a week but I booked my massage 2 weeks after surgery so I could be able to lay on my tummy. Felt amazing! Just put a pillow under my tummy for comfort but probably didn't need it. Now one thing that I noticed was different..when she worked on my back I burped a lot! It was weird..I have never had that much gas before. I wonder if its possible to still have trapped gas 2 weeks after surgery. Was kind of embarrassing..but felt good to get it out lol
  12. I'm driving myself crazy here. I know I shouldn't be, but I'm weighing myself everyday. Been stuck at 248.2 for 3 days...gaaaahhh! I'm 2 weeks post op on Tuesday. I know I should do it once a week but I want to be held accountable for my days and to be able to wake up every morning (like today) and think of what I need to do to make the next day better (more water? More protein) ahhhhh
  13. What about mio mixed in ur water or crystal light? I have been drinking the diet cranberry juice by ocean spray
  14. Oops! Hit the send button too fast! Just wanted to give everyone an idea of what the scars look like. I will be 2 weeks post op ok Tuesday. The first picture is of my largest incision (where I believe they took my stomach out of) and the 2nd is of my overall abdominal area. I do plan on using scar cream..although from the looks of it I may not need it
  15. I was on my iPhone the minute I woke up checking in with people to let them know surgery was successfull. Checked emails, made calls. After my surgeon saw me he said to call his office and make a one week post op appt. I emailed his receptionist. She was surprised to hear from me so early!
