    What is it?
  2. Isopure liquid. So much better than the powdered protein and a lot more convenient. I like the alpine punch the best. Comes in 20 oz bottles which have 40 grams protein. These are 2 serving bottles. I wish I had found these early on. I hated the protein powders. I tried many of them and wasted my money. Vitamin shoppe has these.

Awesome job!! Keep up the good work.
  4. Your asking for advice after losing 120 lbs in 4 mo? Tell us how you did that. I am 5 months out and only down 66. What is your weight and height? What do you eat now?
  5. I refused to do it so I never did. Know of too many people that were told they had sleep apnea and they get a machine and try to use it and it sits in their closet.
  6. Cranberry juice helps this. Before I head to the doctor for this I get low calorie cran-grape and drink about 1/2 bottle over a 24 hour period and most always clears up for me.
  7. I am 5 months out and I just found out I was anemic a few weeks ago. I dug out my cast iron skillet and saucepan. I have been cooking in them as much as I can. Tomato really leashes the iron out of the pan. I found out all this a few years back when my husband had cancer and I did a lot of research about cooking for people going thru chemo. The drugs they gave him did not bring his iron levels up but when I cooked like this it helped. I hope it helps me also. I will let everyone know when I have my next blood test to see if it has helped.
  8. Am 5 months out and never vomited until last week when I ate so much (don't ask me why) that I was glad I threw up. Felt so much better. Lesson learned.

Don't mean to sound mean but we have all dieted our whole life. That being said you must log what goes in your month. You can not remember all day long what you have tasted or ate and calculate the calories let alone the Protein and carbs. For going thru all the hoops before surgery and then going thru the surgery, you sure are giving up quickly. It seems many of us gave you advise not too long ago. Have you taken any? I am a hard head and it sounds like you fit that category also. Please track for 1 month. Stay between 600-800 calories, 60-100 gr protein and 48-64 oz liquid. I guarantee you will start losing. Best of luck.
  10. I don't know what kind of isopure you are talking about? I use the bottles that are 40 gr of protein and 20 oz but that is 2 servings. So if you had 4 servings of this it would be 80 gr protein. Check your label for servings. Taking 50 gr at one time is not good because some say it does not get absorbed.
  11. I use my I- pad to do my fitness pal for every morsel good or bad that goes in my mouth. You also can use your home PC.
  12. Me too 9 lbs but don 't seem to want to fall off. Scheduled by end of June. If it comes before I won't be sad. Keep up your good work, I know how excited you must be.
  13. No the weight loss has not helped my callouses at all. I get pedicures every 3 months but 1 week after they are thick and hurt again. Just the way it will be forever for me.
  14. You look great. How did you loose so much in so little time? Tell us your secret.
  15. Awful lot of calories for this early out. Should be 600-800. Are you following basics 1. Don't drink with meals or 30 min before or after 2. Taking a PPI 3. Eating dense Protein first. Try this and you should not be hungry at all. 1200 calories is what people eat in maintence.
  16. You are never supposed to drink with your meals. Even people in maintenance continue to do this.
  17. I used water in my shakes and stopped all my insulin. Had no problems until after surgery and then had to reintroduce insulin into my life a little at a time. Now at 5 months out I am using 1/6 of the insulin I used before.
  18. Best of luck to you.
  19. I only stayed cold the first 2 months and then it kind of stabilized. I no longer freeze all the time.
  20. Me too. My legs and butt are smaller than I ever remember them being. Never lost weight like this before. I figure as time goes on it has to come off stomach. Probably exercise would help in my case. Keep saying I am going to try soon and I never start.
  21. Water, water, water. Drink as much as you can. That helps a lot. As the prior post said track every morsel that goes in your mouth and stay under 800 cal at this point. Good luck.
  22. I have to admit for me the pain was very bad when I woke up in recovery and the pain med they were giving me did not touch it. I thought this operation would be minimal pain because they say your stomach will feel no pain and the 5 little incisions would not hurt that bad. But he had to go thru very old scar tissue that was very thick. That was the place they pulled the stomach out of. My surgery lasted an extra 15 min because of this. I was given a choice to stay another day in hospital and I did. I am glad I did because I was getting around a lot better the second day. You may be one of the lucky ones that has no pain. Every surgery is different. That is all a distant memory to me now. I would still do it again. Worth it.
  23. Call your dr. I was in terrible pain the first week but it got better everyday. At that time I took the pain medicine every 6 hours to help me out. Sometimes you have to stay ahead of the pain. Try sleeping in a recliner and see if that helps. Praying for you.
