It can take a while. I was anemic a while back, and it took months for me.

Depends on why you're anemic. It could be a B12 deficiency, Iron deficiency or something else. You should see your regular doctor to try to figure out what's causing it. It could be something as simple as needing B12 to something a lot more serious (NOT trying to scare you...just trying to say you need to follow-up!).

I am 5 months out and I just found out I was anemic a few weeks ago. I dug out my cast Iron skillet and saucepan. I have been cooking in them as much as I can. Tomato really leashes the iron out of the pan. I found out all this a few years back when my husband had cancer and I did a lot of research about cooking for people going thru chemo. The drugs they gave him did not bring his iron levels up but when I cooked like this it helped. I hope it helps me also. I will let everyone know when I have my next blood test to see if it has helped.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
