Sizing is sooooo stupid. I have lost 83 lbs and wore a 24-26 now I wear 14-16. Must try on everything because sizes at one store are so different from one to another. I so want a pair of regular jeans. I have never worn jeans with a zipper because of my weight. Asked all my DIL's yesterday where to go and what to look for. They said to be prepared to try on many pairs and the sizes can vary 3 sizes. It is not you. They have made clothing bigger and marked with smaller sizes. When I weighed 140 many moons ago I wore a 14 in pants. Now I weigh 190 and have bought some 14's that fit. What gives? Just go shopping and try on what you think will fit and go from there.

This is the time of the first of many stalls. Just keep following your plan and hide the scale.

Aren't you on a PPI? I had to sign a paper before surgery that I would probably have acid reflux after surgery and I do. I am 9 months out and occasionally stop the pill to see if it is gone and within 2 days I have to take it again.

The veggies you chose are ones very hard to digest. Are they on your food plan this early out? Keep things very soft and easy to digest. Your stomach is not healed at the earliest 6 weeks.

Your experience is so different than all the other posts I have read. Thank you for posting this to give others that are contemplating surgery in Mexico a heads up. Glad you are doing well now.

Where do you all see a picture?

Glad everything is going so well for you. You are almost there. Congrats on all the weight loss before surgery.

Why in the world did they cut you open? With your mobility issues you would have thought they would be very careful. How thoughtless!

I have a hard time too. I went to find some underwear since I have not bought any since weight loss and have to roll them over a bunch. I wore a 5X. Went to dillards and the girl said you wear an X-large. I held it up and said are you sure, this is so small. I took home and sure enough fit like a glove. I still hold up clothes I get out of the closet and think I'm not going to get into that and slide right in. When does this go away?

Take a deep breath. Don't think about the procedure itself. Just think about the weight you will loose in the next few months. You are so young and pretty. Think about all the things you are doing this for. You must have many reasons. Best of luck and keep in touch with us all.

I wish you would not use script writing. It is so hard to read. I usually try to read them but fail. Would love to read your posts if I could. PLEASE print!

I started seeing the dr in June of 2012. I only needed a 90 day nutritional period for my ins. That put me at Sept, so I also thought I would have surgery sometime in Oct. But did not realize so many people were trying to get in by end of yr. Had surgery Nov 28, 2012. Was 2 days after my 66 birthday and was on all liquids for Thanksgiving. By Christmas I was able to eat 2 oz of chicken and was so grateful . Did not attend any Xmas parties because they all revolved around food. If you simply can not miss all the things for the holidays and birthdays then I would suggest the middle of January when everything is over. We go to Fl in January so that was not an option for me.

Everything will be fine. Best thing I ever did. Down 82 lbs and counting.

You have to be satisfied with where you end up, after all you are doing all the work. Have to also leave a few lbs leeway for when you get to maintenance. You are doing great and the main one to please is oneself.

I don't know how you people go back to work so soon. You had MAJOR surgery. Give your body a break.

Best of luck, you will be fine.

Same thing happened to me and oh my stomach looked like the Himalaya Mountain Range. It was very scary. I gained 15 lbs.

I had no sugar free anything when I was a kid. I am older than dirt. But I do remember Tab and Fresca later on in my life.

Good for you. We seniors must forge on. It is not easy. I have stopped losing for months now. I also know why, I eat the wrong foods. I also know how to maintain because I am maintaining. I fluctuate 3 lbs. it is very disappointing because I am good all day and then bam at night I cheat. I only have 23 lbs to go and it feels like 100. I have lost 85 and wanted to be at goal at my surgiversary but that can not happen since that is only 2 months away. Best of luck to you and keep in touch.
