I'm sure it's super common to be anxious the few weeks before surgery, but I'm terrified. I'm so afraid of the anesthesia. Not afraid at all of the surgery, just afraid of the sedation.

 

I joined a group for September 2013 Sleevers so I hope to connect with more people who are doing the liquid diet and going into surgery around the same time as me.

 

Don't have much to say today other than I'm getting really nervous. Maybe it's because I've never had surgery before. Not sure.

 

(Don't get me wrong, I'm happy and excited for this awesome change that's taking place and I'm so grateful for the opportunity, just scared) Sigh.

Take a deep breath. Don't think about the procedure itself. Just think about the weight you will loose in the next few months. You are so young and pretty. Think about all the things you are doing this for. You must have many reasons. Best of luck and keep in touch with us all.

It's funny because I had the same think happening to me. I was not afraid of the surgery or the pain . I was afraid of loosing control during anestesia. I asked my doctor to let me now when i'll be put under and he said SURE! So beeng on th OP table he kept asking me about my work and I went to sleep probably in the midle of the first sentence.

@Tudor Lol thank you for sharing that! It's the unknown and loss of control that's frightening. I hope my surgeon engages with me like that too! That should help with nerves :)
