  1. Good luck and keep us posted. I have my third fill tomorrow and I also hope this one does the trick. I have been loosing because I have been dieting really hard not so much because of the restriction.
  2. Sex

ChicagoRose replied to bernita3's topic in The Gals' Room
I'm glad you said that because I am the same way. I've aways been sex crazed more than my husband and thought I was a freak!!
  3. I'm not saying lazer is totally out!! I'll look into it LMAO
  4. Can you be more specific? I'm sure whatever it is someone reading this has been there.
  5. I'm assuming you want us to answer the topic question. I'm also assuming wherever you got your band, also provided nutritional counselling. Either way my day looks like this. Breakfast: Two scrambled eggs, Diet Snapple (30 minutes later) Lunch: Turkey sandwich on a fold-it flatbread. sugar free Jello or pudding. Diet Snapple (30 minutes later) Snack: Mini Baby Bell Light cheese. coffee with sugar free creamer and splenda. Dunkin Donuts iced coffee with skim and splenda. Dinner: 3-5 oz chicken, Beef, Hot Dog, Tilapia, etc. with a tomato or lettuce salad as a side dish. Also....I track EVERYTHING on myfitnesspal.com Good luck!!
  6. My first fill went pretty easy. I got numbed up, then they just insert the needle and put the fill in. You don't feel a thing internally. After I was asked to sip from a cup of water which went down no prob. My Bariatric Center has me on liquids the rest of the day, mushie the next day, then back on the regular diet. Good luck!!
  7. Thank you so much for sharing. I remember all my "firsts" after being banded and how scary it was, but once you rock it like you did it makes this journey seem much more doable. Congrats =)
  8. NSV "Non-Scale Victory"s are super important on this journey. When we become so scale focused it's very hard to not get frustrated by the numbers, so we can think about other things, some of mine have been zipping up tall boots, using a normal bath towel, and starting to jog without dying. Good luck =)
  9. I know you said you are counting calories, but do you notice that you are eating heavy on carbs? I have found truth in that my low carb days really show on the scale. Also sodium is a huge culprit of bloating. Good luck!
  10. The smell of chicken broth makes me want to vomit, just saying. I bought french onion, tortialla, tomato, etc and did what the others said, I drained them....BUT KEEP THE SOLID PEICES! Put them in the magic bullet or blender of your choice and freeze them for you mushie stage!!
  11. Mine is Lola. She is a mysterious sexy siren, who calls the shots, who is in control, and who is deep inside me. My alter-ego!!
  12. It's normal. When only liquids are going in, only liquids come out LOL. Don't worry it will pass, and then when you are on real foods and so much protien you are going to pray for an easy BM!
  13. I had mine in August....I shared my surgery with my doctor and she was very gentle pressing on my abdomen, and very supportive in general!
  14. This is too funny....I don't notice any sounds, but I do notice my port when I'm on my back with my legs scrunched up...haha..
  15. A. You are not "bad". B. You are human, that's why you did that. C. Remember how you feel and think about that next time you are tempted to make a bad choice. If we were perfect we would not all need weight loss surgery!! It exists because there is a whole sub-category of people who can't control what and how much they eat. I am also a volume eater and that's why I chose the band and it has been a wonderful thing so far for 6 months. Dont' give up, Learn and move on. And try really hard for the next few days until your surgery....your surgery will be easier on you and the surgeon if you have followed the pre-op diet!! Good luck!!
  16. When I was on mushies I allowed myself to eat crackers here and there. Like 1 cheez-it at a time and I mashed them to dust before I swallowed. It's okay we all make mistakes (or we wouldn't be here) and if the toast went down okay, make note and move on, but follow your doctor's recommendations!! That is the only way you will be able to have a long and happy banded life!
  17. I'm a chips girl. I. LOVE. THEM. Still do after being banded but everything is okay in moderation. Treat yourself to a hershey kiss every night if you have reached your goals. The 25 cals or whatever they are won't derail you. You have to still be you and still enjoy the things you like to stay on this lifestyle. I work hard on my diet all week, then I allow myself some chips on the weekend and count them in my calorie goal on myfitnesspal.com and it all works out. Good Luck!!
  18. We are all different but are all the same "banded" together. Listen and learn from each other but listen to yourself and your instincts first. I am someone who can eat any item I want, doesn't matter if it's a bag of chips, but if I am over that calorie goal, I won't lose. I can eat all fruits and vegetables all day and if I don't stay in my range, doesn't matter, I gain. But I know me, and I know that I got banded for the maintenance portion of my weight lose more than the losing portion. Good luck everyone!!
  19. That's HILARIOUS that you call her your "valentine"!! I'm on the fence but I get my eyebrows done every three weeks (I'm ITALIAN, okay? So just imagine...) and my skin doesn't flinch so I should be good to go down there with a wax. I have also considered lazer hair removal but that may be a Quest if i ever get that tummy tuck, free or not. Which, by the way my bikini line extends over my c-section scar hence under the flap of shame. Love you guys!
  20. I'm a total scale junkie but as we all know, sometimes it's not about the numbers on the scale. Have you been taking your measurements? I log everything once a month and one month had only lost two pounds but lost a few inches around the body. Good luck =)
  21. I was going to say the same exact thing. My new healthier lifestyle is more expensive than my 5 bucks a day lunches at McD's I used to eat but that being said it's WELL WORTH the investment. You owe it to yourself to eat well, regardless of the price. Cut corners elsewhere if you can =)
  22. My fav is Victoria's Secret Body by Victoria Full coverage...exactly as you described needing but super comfortable also, cute prints and make the boobs look fabulous! They are kinda pricey but I buy them during their semi-annual sale and they have great sizing options too. Good luck =)
  23. NSV

ChicagoRose replied to HotButterFly's topic in The Gals' Room
HELL YES!! I just had the same NSV just this week, isn't it amazing how the little things add up to huge victories?? Keep it up girl!
  24. You guys are the best. Thanks for the advice and what's more I got a huge laugh out of it!!!
  25. So...am I the only one that feels like no one has pubic hair anymore and if you do you are totally out-of-style or a hairy monster?? I was thinking of celebrating one of my weight loss milestones with a brazilian wax but I'm kinda embarassed because I have a belly flap/extra skin over my c-setion scar from losing weight. Has anyone here that is still kinda chubby gotten waxed and how was it??
