  3. I take all Bariatric Advantage vitamins -recommended by my nutritionist, available on several websites and even on Amazon (free shipping with an over $35 purchase).
  4. Thanks for all the great advice! I am right there with you, KYBrownEyes! We will do this together!
  5. I have had the same type of problems. I can eat Breakfast and lunch, but throw up dinner many evenings. My gastro did an endoscopy and found some minor irritation, but nothing alarming. He put me on some GERD meds but they have made no difference. i went to my surgeon last month and he did an unfill. No difference. I returned last week and he said it makes no sense so he ordered an upper GI series and the radiologist said it all went down perfectly. I have to go for a follow up with my surgeon still. In the meantime I am not losing any weight. Eating easy slider foods and maintaining a 30lb loss since surgery 5/28/13, but it should be twice that by now. ):
  6. BCBS Federal denied me at first; I submitted more info and then got the ok in a few days. Good luck!

  12. I was surprised by the number of people in my office who shared their own WLS story with me when they "heard" I had gotten a lapband (nothing is a secret at work). Everyone has been very supportive and encouraging.

  17. Wow, being on this Board is so great. I really appreciate everyone's comments. We are all in this TOGETHER!
  18. My second fill was too restrictive and I spent the summer losing everything but weight (pbing, throwing up), not exercising; finally unfill last month and after a long plateau saw the scale go down a few pounds. But I felt much smaller than what the scale showed. I read someone else's success story here and it inspired me. She got an old size 8 pair of jeans back on. Well, I went to my closet and grabbed a favorite size 18 jeans I haven't be beern able to wear in a few years. In fact I tried to get in them last month with no success. Tonight they zipped up comfortably! Yay me!
  19. I make a protein shake every a.m. with Syntrax Nectar, Cappucino flavor, and then mix it 50-50 with my coffee. It is yummy!
  20. I was not put on a pre-op diet. I stupidly ate everything I thought I could never eat again. We were in NY and I had a corned beef on rye sandwich the day before my surgery. It was the worst thing I could have done. I went to the hospital bloated and stuffed before surgery. After surgery I was constipated for 2-3 days, then I had terrible diarrhea for 2 days. I recommend that you start learning to eat better NOW. Good luck!
  21. i bought PB2 on Amazon. it's really good!
  22. yes, i had an incidental finding of a tumor on my liver many years ago. Had a liver biopsy, was told it was a just undeveloped tissue - a hemangioma (?). Got my band 14 years later, not a word mentioned by the surgeon even though I mentioned it in my medical history and I assume he saw it when he did my surgery.
