  1. I am post op day 2 and I wish I could burp. Right now I feel so full I can hardly get any Water down. I have had a little chicken broth down but that is it. I feel really bloated in my stomach but I am down from my surgery weight.. I just want to feel better soon.
  2. Good to hear. Only 7 hours to go until my surgery! I am too nervous and excited to sleep right now
  3. How many days after surgery do you think it took to feel back to "normal"?
  4. What time do you have surgery tomorrow?
  5. Best of luck on your journey!
  6. I had my inital consulatation on the 6th of June. That day I had my breath test (can't remember the name) and EKG done. I also had my blood taken. I had one more appoitment on the 12th with my Doc and I am having my surgery in the MORNING!! I am self pay and and it has all happened very quick.
  7. When you PB does it do it all by itself? Or do you have to make your self burp? (I don't know how to do that) I am gettig banded on Wed. I am sure at some point or another I will have this happen.
  8. Thanks for the replies! I will have both ready to go and just see what works best for me.
  9. I don't go back to work until August (teacher) so I hope I won't be resting too much! A few days and then need to get moving again.
  10. I have had some people say they used a heating pad after surgery and another tell me she had an ice pack on her stomach for a few days after. What worked for you? I am being banded on Wed!!!!!
  11. I hope I can write something like this after my surgery next week! What was your pre-op diet like?
  12. Is it like any pain you have felt before or something new?
  13. I also have the gasx and popsicles. I like the atkins shakes, eas carbcontrol shakes, and I am a huge fan of Shakeolgy (but it costs $99 for a bag)
  14. Yep! Do you have everything ready? I have stocked up on Clear Liquids and Soups. I have also made a yummy Soup and froze it so I won't have to cook for a bit. I told my husband he would have to fend for himself. I also stocked up on craft/sewing projects so I don't have to go anywhere or do anything for a while. Just going to rest, walk, craft, rest, walk, and craft.
  15. Chicken, fish, yogurt (greek is best!), beef, eggs
  16. I am also having surgery on the 27th. My doc just told me to do an low carb/high protien diet. I think I will do just liquids the last two days to get ready. I have my parents and my inlaws as well as a few close friends. I don't want to tell too many people because I am afraid of failure.
  17. I went with TrueResults and it is costing me $9888. That covers all the preop, surgery, and one year of postop. After that my Dr. charges $140 for fills or if you tend to need more fills there is a montly plan for $30.
  18. *know
  19. I now what you mean. I all my fat is in my front and I have no butt so my jeans are always tight around the waist but look too big in the thighs and butt. I plan on living in stretchy clothes until summer is over.
  20. I am in Fort Worth and will be banded next week! I am 27... no kids... hopefully this will help me have some in the next few years!
  21. I love zumba! I am trying to get all the zumba classes in I can before my surgery! Doc told me not to rush it when I get banded so it will be a long few weeks after. I am just glad I have wonderful friends to go walking with me.
  22. I completed the C25K program last summer. It helped me get from 288 to 250. I loved it! My only problem is I wouldn't take a day off between runs so I developed tendinitis in my hips. Oops. The doc told me I had to quit until it stopped hurting and I never started back up Once I am banded on the 27th and recover I hope to get back into it. My husband was a runner and I would like to have that be a healty activity we do together. Now just the waiting game! 10 days until surgery!
  23. Did the surgery with hernia repair take longer than the regular surgery? About how long were you guys out for? Everynow and then I get chest pain and there is also a sharp pain I get when I get into my car (it is low). I just want to be prepared if it turns out that is the case. Also, I am paying cash for my surgery... does the insurance cover that part if they have to do it?
