  1. That is a great achievement! Congrats.
  2. Hang out with us Mr. Y- we will keep you company. You guys are the most adorable couple.
  3. I haven't been banded yet - but in my case I am not a big soda drinker at all. Hoever, I have been drinking lots of diet soda now before my surgery. I am on a pre op diet and I find it helps to fill me up. (must be the gas)! Suan
  4. Great Idea Andrew - then we can be your testimonials. (for a cut of the gross of course). :heh:
  5. Doddie - have you contacted Kathy Palermo? I emailed her yesterday and received a response within 10 minutes. Susan
  6. Just started Day 3 and tis morning I was done 6.5 lbs.! My pants don't feel as tight as they did last week, so I am happy.
  7. LMAO!! The two of you are the next Laurel & Hardy! Except both of you will be Laurel...or Hardy.... which ever the skiiny guy is!
  8. You too! This morning when I got got on the scale was down 6.8 lbs since Monday! I will only take my true weight next Monday though. I am liking the results! Susan p.s. are you having technical troubles with the changes to the forum?
  9. I am really having some techincal difficulties since you changed... something (?) yesterday. I cannot go to specific forums ie. Canada from my home computer - it says the web page is not available; and at work, each time I post it tells me that I am no longer connected and have to start all over. The post is getting through though. Frustrating!
  10. Pre op day two under my belt. It was strange because I hardly ate yeterday, I was not really hungry. As each day passes I am getting more confident that I can do this.
  11. Hi MAndi, I agree with Yoda that you have to get rid of the red belt - it is out of touch with the rest of the dress. Get a button for it to see how that little keyhole opening looks. I would wear the funky dotted shoes with it - not too much. I also really like the seond dress. Not old lady but classy lady. It reallu suits you. I would get a lovely necklace and earrings to go with and one of those killer bras that make cleavage pop. You will look to die for!!! ENjoy and let us know what you did. Susan
  12. Yoda I totally agree. The reason I trying to reach Nisrine was to confirm receipt of a large cheque from me...so naturally....especially without any food to calm me :cry , I became concerned. I am no longer worried or concerned. I am sure that all will go well. I'd like to have her job! (Aren't I awful)!!! Bad, bad girl!!!
  13. Kathy Palermo assured me that all was well and business as usual at the clinic. I encourage you to call her or Maral for reassurance just as I did. Susan
  14. :clap2: Happy Anniversary Donna! You have done fabulously! Susan
  15. I was just thinking that I would never have done this yogurt and cottage cheese diet as a "diet". It is hard and crazy!!! In all the diets I have tried, very few were of this nature (like the cabbage Soup one or grapefruit diet). I always counted calories or WW etc. I am only doing this for the band. (but the weight loss side effect will be nice)
  16. Cat she probably didn't know, as she was let go today.
  17. You go with your bad self CanMan! (how do you like my hood talk?) I'm with wife about approaching drug dealers, didn't you get the band to EXTEND your life? How do you know that didn't have a gun and would have shot you for your remarks? huh??? Glad to know that things are good for you and you are doing well. Susan
  18. I was trying to email Nisrine today and it kept bouncing back, so I called and Stacy told me that she no longer works there as of today. I just look on the website and her name is already gone! I emailed Kathy and she told me Nisrine was let go. She assured me that it has no affect on Dr. Yau or the clinic and it's business as usual. That's good to know Susan
  19. Thanks Dame J - I could feel a difference in just one day!
  20. Hi Donna, Okay well if they said no, it's no and I stand corrected. Since I started a week early, I am not too worried but I wont have anymore. I think you did great. What I am trying to do is eat a breakfast lunch and dinner so that I space out my food throughout the day and feel like I am having meals. I had eggwhites for breakfst this morning, then 1 cup of cottage cheese with a SF Jello for lunch. I don't feel particularly hungry unlike yesterday when I wanted to gnaw off my foot! Keep it up girl! Susan
  21. Hi Donna, Did you eat during the day?
  22. Good luck Melissa! We are rooting for you. Susan
  23. Congrats Jurema. I am 2 days ahead of you on May 2nd. but I am having the surgery at Scarborough Grace. I started my preop yesterday...
  24. I made it through day 1 of the pre-op! The first hours were harder than later in the day. Now I realize just how hard it is going to be for 2 1/2 weeks, BUT..I also know that I can do it and the results are worth it. Andrew - I also want to know how you can tell if you are in ketosis....
