I'll be your sleeve buddy! My surgery is also on the 18th! I can't even explain how nervous I am!

I'm July 18th as well! I am super nervous! I'm afraid that my doctor will reschedule because I haven't lost enough weight or my liver didn't shrink! Full liquid diet for me tomorrow. I don't think I'll sleep much Tuesday night. It's becoming all too real! Good luck to my fellow 18th Sleevers!

Karen, You're going to be fine. It's just a moment in time. You and I all know from experience that the first 2 weeks of ANY diet is difficult. This too shall pass. Hang in there girl. In 2 weeks I too will be in "b***h" mode with you! :-)

Thanx everyone! I got a good chuckle off of the term "food funeral". That's exactly what it is! You're right, I need to program my mind that I will be able to eat just about everything prior to...just in moderation (or 2 bites). However, eating at the Golden Corral Buffet is out... lol

Is it just me, or do you too have the urge to eat EVERTYTHING you know you won't be able to eat/enjoy anymore after the surgery? My surgery is scheduled for July 18th and I was told by my doctor to lose 5-10 lbs by my pre-op date, but I've been finding myself indulging in foods that I won't be eating anymore to "get my fill". Please tell me I'm not alone with this!

I'm in Southern California and I'm having it done at Kaiser West L.A.

I met with Dr. Zelada last Wednesday and he is soooo sooo nice! And easy on the eyes! I have post op July 11 and surgery July 18! He recommends that I lose 5-10 lbs before post op. not a big problem. His staff are kind too! I'm counting it down! :-)

Congrats! I can't wait to see him in June! I hope to have my surgery no later than July while my children are out of school. What does he ask during the visit?

I see that you're appointment with Dr. Zelada is today. I have an appointment with Dr. Zelada on the 6th of June. A coworker of mine had her surgery done by him and she really liked him! She said he was cute. lol Let me know how it went! I'd like to hear what I have to expect when I see him in June. Thanx and good luck!
