  1. I agree with Looze. I've been on this program since march, pre op diet day 5. And even the dic said. "if you don't take in enough food, the body goes into survival mode..storing the fat instead of shedding" jus my opinion. Good luck-!!!
  2. Good luck today Roja!! Speedy recovery!!!

  5. Did you have prior gassiness? I'm just wondering ? Sorry I know it's kinda personal , but I asked the surgeons office yesterday about my burping. It sea since 5 months ago starting the pre op program I must drink 'wrong'. I burp a lot and haven't even had the band. But they told me I'll be fine. Just wondering how I'm gonna Do- I get banded in 11 days.

  8. I'm being banded too on Aug 15th 12', Lost 19lbs. The thought had crossed my own mind too..,if I just keep going like I am maybe I can lose all this weight. But reality sets in. In my 38 years. I've not been able to do it, now is the time. The Lapband is gonna make it all possible. I'm excited. Good luck !!!!
  9. Seminar was required by my insurance, there were over 300 people there. Amazing!!! My surgery is aug 15th. Good luck to you.
  10. Omgoodness!! I am so thrilled I went through a pre-op 3 month program. The people there were so informative. There's sooooooo much to learn about being banded and living with the band! My insurance didn't require any pre-op program, it was the surgeons doing. And the best decision I've made in my life. There was a reason I never succeeded at weight loss or maintaining weight loss, I was uneducated about it all! From food to exercise, I always had an excuse or a 'know it all' attitude. I went into the program with a open mind, and absorbed ever piece of information I could. This band will not only save my life, but my families lives. In 5 months I've lost 19 pre-op lbs. I feel amazing. And without meeting with all the people in the pre-op program, id have make the journey alone, with not nearly enough support. In 12 days I will be banded. Im so excited, and so happy that I have that support, information & knowledge to turn into such a positive in my life. This was my expirence, hope it helps:) & good luck to you!!!!
  11. The More You Love Your Decision, the less you need others To Love Them!!! ...a quote that's gotten me through some rough decisions- hope it helps;)
  12. 0Mg it's going sooooo fast!!! Just had all my pre admission testing and met with anestegiologist office:) doing really well, lost a total of 19 lbs since the start of my journey!!! Life IS GOOD!! Aug 15th 2012 !! Here I come!!!
  13. I do hope it's not true. If I conducted my own study, I know 9 people personally who've had the band put in and 1 who had no success, because of her own doing, and had it removed. This is over a 4 year period. So that's a pretty small percent.
  14. Day 1 pre-op done. Sheesh. I'm exhausted...thinking of all the things im supposed to & not supposed to eat. I need a hobby. Lol 13 more to go...luckily my surg says we can Do a 3rd phase Atkins. That's pretty much what I'm doing, Cept adding a few more protein shakes ...
  15. Day one pre-op too!!!! Yikes. ))
  16. As anyone tried the Nike Fuel Bracelet?? I saw a client the other day with one. And it looks so cool, I've seen the Fit bit, but that's needs to be hooked to a computer(if I understand correctly) any input on either anyone:))))))!!!hopr ur having a great day!!!!
  17. Omg. I didn't even think about the small backyard chairs!!! Yay!!!!
  18. I just wanna be able to tuck in my shirt! And not look like a package of hotdogs!! And of course when I hit my goal..I'm buying a sexy nighty for hubby;) It's coming, I can just taste the freedom!!!
  19. My surgeon gave me 3 different options for the 2 weeks. 1. A very high (90-100g) protein which is written up 2. Do the 3rd Phase of Atkins 3. A protein shake meal replacement with very light snacks. Today starts my 2 weeks. I'm doing a mixture of the 3. Because I work nights I will Do a protein shake dinner. Ect. Good luck and find what works for you. I love the idea of making a list of why I'm doing this. I'm doing it right now!! It will defiantly keep me on track!! Ty:)!!
  20. I've told some and some I haven't. I have been vigorously eating healthy and exercising since march and have lost 18 lbs. surgery is August 15. I've had support from some and other give me the "Why? Your not THAT big!" I'm so over people's opinions. That Ive stopped telling people. Its my decision , I've made it, I'll deal with it. It had nothing to do with them. Period. I'm doing this for me, my health and my family. They're all that counts. Once I realized I love myself and the rest will fall in place- I've felt wonderful:))good luck to you.
  21. My surg is aug 15th. Pre addmin testing Friday!! Yikes!!!!
