Can't remember if I've posted in this thread...but I'm a high school special education teacher. We've been back to school since late last month. I just had my surgery this past Friday and will be going back to work tomorrow! I'm nervous about the gas part of this...LOL

I'm two days post-op and am burping like crazy...has anyone else experienced this?

a boiled egg already? dang! i'm struggling with these Protein shakes...the burping makes me think something is going on with my band. lol

Hey everyone...I'm Day 2 post op...I can say that I feel MUCH better than yesterday. I was able to get out of bed on my own this morning which was awesome, yesterday I was at my parent's house and had to have my dad help me. I'm able to shower, dress myself...pretty much just can't bend over at all. I was able to paint my toenails. It took awhile, but they look pretty now! :confused: I'm walking more today than yesterday, because I'm told it'll help me heal faster and I'll feel better! Woot! Can't wait for day 3!!

I had surgery on Friday...took the tylenol with codiene Friday night, and that was it. I'm going to see how I can drive around the subdivision today, and then if I'm ok...gonna drive myself to work tomorrow.

Hey....I was banded on the 14th as well. The gas and pain in my port area are what bothers me the most! I'm told to walk, walk, walk and the gas and pain will begin to go away!

Julz, where are you going for your surgery? Tomorrow's my BIG day...LOL Gotta be up at the hospital at 5AM! Bleh!! Wish me luck...lol

I'll report back asap...LOL I'm staying at my parent's or sister's house for the night, so I'll sneak onto the computer some time! My surgery is at 7:30AM, so I'll be up at the ass crack of dawn getting ready! Woot!!

I've yet to be banded...but I will be in just a few weeks I've started the liquid diet this past Friday...so I'm going to join! Name..............................Starting........ Woot...I got my approval Monday! I go in September 4th to see Dr. Stanish...surgery should be within two weeks after that! I'm going to be starting my liquid diet around Sept. 1st....just in case we can get an earlier surgery date!

You all are amazing...I'm a friend of Stevee...and I think you are all godsend for helping her out in her situation! Ya'll ROCK! :girl_hug:

If you could switch doctors, I would....Dr. Stanish's office is RIGHT ON THE BALL! I just started my process this month, and am ready to send off to insurance....of course I had to do my 6 month supervised visits first...but other than that, it's smooth sailing!

Woot...I'm attending my class tomorrow night and just had my paperwork submitted through Dr. Stanish's office...I'm SUPER excited, that I can actually SEE a date coming! I pray that it works out, and I don't get the big stupid denial letter....woot woot! Congrats on your surgery ctallen! Glad to hear things went well for you!

Damn...sounds like the same thing I'm going through. My stuff was submitted, but the chick forgot 3 important papers that caused me to be denied. I'm switching surgeons...and am moving right along with my second place. I meet the doctor next week and send everything to my insurance company. They accepted all of my paperwork from the original place... good luck to you!

still nothing on my end...still waiting to hear back from insurance. 3 months of visits to my MD and a letter were faxed over to them today...we'll see if they accept that! sorry i've not been around...just depressed cuz everyone around me is getting the surgery....and then there's me. waiting...still...6 months later :eek:

No word yet...tho I don't think my MD submitted my letter yet. Supposedly WW and all that won't count for this. I do have about 9 months of that though..maybe I should make copies and send it in with the letter. It can't hurt that's for sure!
