  3. I have my prep class tomorrow. Two hours longgg. Wooo
  4. I didn't even think about this! I have yet to have the surgery or a fill... but I'm intrigued to see what happens. Keep us posted
  5. That's so awesome! Congratulations! Can't wait to be there
  6. That is 100% true. It isn't so much based on the insurance company as much as it's based on your place of employment. Don't explode!
  7. I will agree with you 100%. Only way to know for sure is for me to call. I guess I was just getting different answers from different people and I was just a little confused. Thanks for your response
  8. So, I have a deductible of $350.00. I have met that. Insurance pays 80% and I am to cover the remaining 20%. Well I have a co-insurance of $2000 but due to doctor visits and other things I have it down to about $1200. Well I called to get an estimate on how much I'd owe and they told me $2200, which I don't think is right. I have Aetna. I'm wondering if they're just assuming that without looking in to MY particular insurance? There is financing available through the hospital but before I can get information from them I have to find out how much I'll be responsible for. I personally do not have $1200 lying around and with surgery approaching, not having things figured out is stressing me out to say the least.
  9. Congratulations! I have yet to have my surgery but my goal is to get down to 200lbs also. I hope to be as successful as you!
  10. Congratulations. Probably one of the best feelings ever!
  11. I've told my family, closest friends, as well as some co-workers. Most of them know my struggle with weight and the overall response has been very positive. Can't say I'll run down the street shouting it but it isn't a secret for me.
  12. That does sound yummy. I'll have to try that next, I just bought some strawberry flavored... fingers crossed it isn't disgusting
  13. Ahh yes, that doesn't sound too bad. Although, I do need to figure out what I'm going to have during that time. I'd assume that planning it out helps
  14. 500-600 calories. Mostly liquids and Protein Shakes. I can have lean cuts of meat if I begin to feel dizzy I would have to agree, the fear alone is enough for me!
  15. So fantastic to hear! Ny surgery is scheduled for June 5th, I'll very starting my pre-op diet next week... should be a challenge but I'm ready!
  16. Fantastic to hear! Cannot wait til I've lost the weight
  17. Dun dun dun... we may never know
  18. I have yet to go to any support groups. I've joined this website and that's about as far as its gone for now. I think there is going to be negatives where ever you go. But I honestly assume the majority of the ones who have failed are the ones going to support groups, the successful ones are too busy out there enjoying their lives. I too do not want to fail at losing weight again, who does? But I know that it's going to take a lot of work, more work than all the diets I've been on combined together. I think some people forget that the lapband is a tool and not a miracle. I believe that some people think they can get the lapband and continue their poor eating habits and still lose weight? Which is not the case. It's not going to do the work for you, only help you. Don't let other peoples failures hinder your choice to take control of your life. I think support groups are good to a certain extent but hearing the success stories is what you really need. That's what has helped me. I read about people who have lost their excess weight and those who have got a second chance at life... those are what keep me motivated. Stay positive, you control your success. Not statistics and certainly not anyone elses mistakes. We got this!
