Hello I went through the same exact thing! I started with Lapband as well. I went threw the whole process and was denied by my insurance because the hospital the doctor used was not using a Center of Excellence hospital. I was informed to find another Dr and I found Dr Marena in Orlando Fl. Everything happens for a reason and at first I was mad and angry! Now I know that it was not meant for me to have the Lapband but the sleeve! Now I am glad it happened the way it did and I have surgery on Sept 10th!!! I feel like a bottomless pit...the only time I can remember not being hungry is when I was taking appetite suppressants!!! Hello I am still pre-op but I have saw tons of posts on this subject. The common medicine that is being suggested is biotin. Also check the post-op forums it is alof of posts about wait lost

Congratulations on getting your date! I got my on Monday and September 10th it is!!!! I am like you so excited and trying to make sure everything is taken care of on the job. I called today and started the process today regarding STD and FMLA. I am covered both ways. Although people say you can go back after a week I am not sure if I will be ready so it is better to be safe than sorry! Wishing you success on your journey and we will have to keep in touch. Hi Julia33, I am from the polk county area which is not that far from you. What surgeon did you use? Just wondering if I have the one you used? I go to Dr. Marema, US Bariatrics... will probably be having surgery the week of the 10th. How far are you out? How are you coming along? Sorry for all the questions...

Hello MrsCastello, You have to do what you feel within your heart is right for you... I know it may sound somewhat taboo but it's true. What is your mind and heart telling you to do? I don't know if you are a spiritual person but if you are pray about the decision you are making and ask for peace because from what I am learning on the forum this is a total lifestyle change. You have to do this for you and strive every day to live a healthier and happier life. Like yourself I have tried on my on and it always comes back to haunt me by gaining all of the weight back. At this point in my life I am tired of being sick and tired... Sounds like it is time for some soul searching to make sure that the decision you make is the RIGHT ONE FOR YOU.
