  1. Aviiva, you can have more than 2 protein shakes. The more protein the better I was told.
  2. This is how I get my protein in. I have a protein shake for breakfast. Im up around 8am. It takes me until 11 or so to drink it all. That's 26 grams right there. Then I drink some water or propel zero. A little later, I have a 4oz container of Breakstone low fat cottage cheese. That's 11 grams right there and fills me up to boot. A few hours later, I puree 2oz of chicken with some soup that I make even more liquidy with low fat, low sodium vegetable broth and drink that as well. That's 13 grams of protein. Then a few hours later, I make another protein shake which is another 26 grams of protein. That's a total of 76grams. I usually dont get done drinking until 10:30-11pm but I get them in. In between I sip on water or propel zero but because everything I am consuming is liquid, I dont worry so much about getting in extra liquids because it's all adding up.

  4. No once you start eating dense protein, you will feel the restriction. The first couple of weeks are the hardest because you are just on liquids to give you stomach time to heal. Liquids run through you faster so you feel hungry. It's only the first 2 weeks. Don't be scared.
  5. I just puréed some broccoli cheese soup with some chicken and veggie soup broth. Here's hoping it works and it is protein. Lol
  6. I feel you. I just don't want to prohibit my weight loss and that's what scares me the most. I thought about pureeing some chicken with some cream soup but haven't actually had the guts to do it.
  7. I'm not going to eat. I was just venting. I'm aware that I'm swollen. I can feel the gas still. Oy vey. Lol im just starving. And no, can't eat anything. I'm only allowed liquids. He said if I can drink it through a straw without actually using a straw, I can have it.
  8. Hello. I'm 8 days post op and I am starving. My stomach keeps grumbling and hurting because I'm so dang hungry. I get all my protein shakes in and I drink my liquids. They just don't stay with me long. I have to be on full liquids until next Monday but I want to eat something SO bad. Lol
  9. I got sleeved the 2nd and was supposed to get mine on the 7th but it came the 4th instead and it was obnoxiously heavy.
  10. Prayers going out to you. You will doing wonderfully.
  11. I am one week post op today. As of today I am 15lbs down from the beginning of my pre-op. To most, that would be quite an accomplishment but to me, I feel totally depressed. I took pictures the night before surgery and took pictures again tonight, 15lbs down and you can not even tell the difference. When will I finally be able to see even a fraction of a difference. I don't like to look in the mirror and I detest taking pictures because I know exactly what I am going to see...Jaba the Hut. I just want to be beautiful and thin again instead of this monstrosity I see in front of me. I know it will happen because I am working hard and following my doctor's orders but I can't help but want to see results now. Patience was never my strong point.
  12. Yea I try not to comment on weight too. This post is in reference to nothing specific. Just saw tons of people brag with right about weight loss only for someone to say something negative. It struck a nerve and I ranted
  13. I haven't gotten it. I've seen others that have and it makes me mad for them.
  14. Why is it that when people are excited and say how much weight they lost in a certain amount of time there is always someone that has to burst their balloon by saying, "enjoy it. It doesn't last long." Why do they have to ruin that persons high by pointing out the negative? It irritates me. Just be happy for your fellow sleeves and keep your negtive comments to yourself. Everyone knows that you don't continue to lose mass amounts of weight every week or month so you don't have to rain on their parade.
  15. Louise I hope you feel better. It sure is no fun. I struggle to eat to but I'm on liquids only right now.
  16. I'm one week out and I wake up every night because of horrible gas pains in my chest that radiate up and down my stomach. It feels like someone is ringing me inside out. I'm hoping it gets better too because it is seriously painful. Can't stand the spasms.
  17. Well I gotta say that I prayed a lot on my decision to finally go through with it. I had the same thoughts as you did and kept saying that if I'm not supposed to do this, God would give me a sign. He did. He gave me the support of my family, especially that of my dad who is a physician. I thought he would be against it and tell me to work out, eat less carbs etc. but he stood by me and I knew that if the cons outweighed the benefits, my dad would have stopped me instead of encouraged me.
  18. That's awesome. Congrats. Panty hose are a pain in the butt
  19. I didn't buy my kids candy this year either. I don't want the temptation.
  20. I didn't even buy my kids candy this year. If I don't need it, neither do they. I'm making Easter a healthy tradition.
  21. I took a paper thin, tip of my pinky bite of a baked, lean pork chop. Chewed it til complete liquid and don't feel guilty. Lol
  22. I'll have to try the gas strips. I'm on nexium daily. It's all just gas pressure.
  23. Good luck Atkin. Let it out Lolol. I know I do lol
  24. Thank you cmw1000. I hope this gets easier. I couldn't drink all my protein today because of it.
  25. Hello. I'm 6 days post op and today I hurt so bad. Every time I take a sip of anything it feels like I have a huge painful gas pocket in my chest. It's miserable. Anyone else feel this way? All I drink are my protein shakes and water.
