I hope things get better for you very soon! I don't think I have ever seen someone who regrets having the surgery after the first few months, if that's any comfort at all... feel better soon!

I just got back from being sleeved on March 27 and I highly recommend Dr. Almanza. He and the other doctors, the nurses, the support staff -- all wonderful! Congratulations!

How about coffee shops / Starbucks / libraries when you need to see people for an hour or two. Or if you're in a bigger city, there may be desk rentals / co-working space for rent? My husband and I both work at home, and I can relate to going stir crazy sometimes

I'm fully expecting to feel exactly the same anger you do. We have been treated as "less than" so consistently and for so long. I'm glad we're talking about it. Thank you for writing this post!

Helen, congratulations! Your photos are amazing ... I absolutely could not recognize you in your before picture! Inspiring!

Neat list If you are sleeved, be careful about celery (google "bezoar" ... not something you'd want to happen). I also think that pomegranate seeds might not be a good idea too (but they are so delicious).

I suppose the most serious risk is that you could become too underweight before you had the capacity to eat enough post-surgery. But then there are nutritional supplement drinks like Boost or Ensure that could help if you had that issue.
Oh, and come to think of it, I believe I've heard of lapband to sleeve revision patients who had a relatively small amount of excess weight to lose at the time of the revision surgery, but the band had to come out and they were concerned about regain...
Wishing you the best with your decision!
