i havent been banded yet but my wisdom teeth hurt like hell to have them taken out .

I think theres more things to worry about than the actual make of the band, there seems very little difference between the 2 bands if u read this forum a lot. concentrte on what u need to do to make the band work for you ..

I agree we need to concentrate on the ealth benefitds of this surgery not the small risks involved aftrer all we took a risk with our lives eating our way to obesity.

There arent many people that need to lose as much weight a we all do and not have to watch the calories and exercse. I know some people are lucky and can do it but most of us need to burn more calories than we eat in order to lose weight .

The article was about people with gastric bypass being able to absorb alcohol quicker so therefore could drink a lot more , lpbands should not affect alcohol consumption other than all those calories u are consuming. The article was specifically to do with gastric bypass people who have more tendency to become alcoholics because of the absorbtion differences .

I now my abs will require a lot of work so will be nice to see what the surgeon says about it .

I am new to this forum and support group, why come to a support group if u are so negative about the band.. I thought this forum was to support people who wanted/needed the band or had had it done.. My doctor who I trust suggested the band .. he doesnt get paid to promote the band where I live so I trust his judgement, not some survey, or your opinion.
