  1. PEvette....the glitter nails ound so great but you should heck to see if you can have your nails colored during surgery. I know the color of the skin under your nails is a big indicator of oxygen issues during operations so many places don't want you to wear it...
  2. My approval came through last Thursday! Yippee! June 25 is getting closer...thank God I am so hyperbusy at school so my mind is occupied. The initial thrill has lessened and left some room nor anxiety and fear. Already on a roller coaster of emotions.
  3. Your smile is fabulous. I love that you re doing so much exercising.
  4. I'm lucky, I suppose...I've been very vocal about my upcoming surgery and am so darned excited about it, I don't think anyone would dare to say anything against it. . If they did, I suppose I would give them my reasons for doing it and, if they still weren't on board, I might just go the distance & tell them evryone's entitled to their opinion, but their's isn't going to change mine, so perhaps they should quit while they are ahead. . So far as those nurses go, shame on them! I would tell your surgeon about it. You're in a vulnerable state & they are saying things that are somewhat treasonous...don't you think? I don't understand why strangers feel the need to comment on the decision of someone that isn't known to them. Crazy!
  5. June 25th here, as well. Dr lautz at Brigham & Women's in Boston. I teach 4th grade.
  6. Gorgeous and cute, to boot!
  7. Look how cute you are!! I like the inspiration.
  8. Just ordered a jar of each on amazon....they are on sale!
  9. Oh, me, too! So glad to see you all saying the same thing!!
  10. 3azscotties.....so glad to see another person owned by their wee ball o'fur.
  11. Cool! I bet some good stuff comes up on "beautiful paintings"!
  12. Vjslim, I love your profile picture. Can you tell me more about it?
  13. I've been looking for a good book on WLS. Any recommendations?
  14. PB2 sounds great...I just looked at their site. How much would you put in a protein shake? is the one with chocolate good, too?
  15. I like getting recommendations on protein powders....why does this one say to discontinue 2 weeks prior to surgery?
  16. Oh my goodness, that is a huge help! Thanks!
  17. I live alone & am trying to figure out the best way to recover after I am released by the hospital. Any single folks out there that can advise me? I can go to my sister's for a few days, and will do whatever is necessary, but I know I will be longing to be back in my own home, taking care of myself. How long after surgery can I expect to do this? Thanks so much in advance.
  18. Caradina, the switch to liking veggies is good to hear. I am a picky eater....like raw veggies ok but not cooked. I also don't like eggs. I'm hoping to like enough foods to make it after my surgery, which is scheduled for June 25.
  19. I love True Lemon, True Lime, True Orange & True Grapefruit. It comes in 1 drink sized envelopes & really tastes like a squeeze of your favorite citrus. You can also use it in cooking. Zero calories. I really recommend it.
  20. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
  21. Hope it's all smooth sailing for you!
  22. TMI, Capt? LOL! Skin on skin + humidity/heat = yeasty, icky combo! Baby powder is like my garlic against vampires.
  23. 1. Hopefully be able to get up from off the floor. 2. Pick something up off the floor without having to go into a huge leg straddle. 3. Climb stairs without huffing and puffing. 4. Not have mushrooms growing under my breasts.
  24. Thanks so much. I feel so much better! The day can't come too quickly for me.
