Tummy Tuck...have You Had One?
My husband had gastric bypass and lost over 225 lbs. He is kind of where you are now. about 200 lbs and 6'1. He works out like crazy and has built so much muscle. His arms and thighs look so much better. But like you the abdomen and back are the biggest problems. He wears those compresion work out shirts everyday to help with the loose skin. He did have a consult with a surgeon he quoted him over $10,000 for the whole body lift. They basically make a cut all around your waist and lift your upper and lower body. Also included new placement of nipples and belly button. The more he works out the more it is a reality that is the only way to get rid of the excess skin is surgery. Good luck! I know I want to do it too, but totally do not look forward to the recovery time and pain.

4 Months Today And Not Happy!
I will be 4 mos out on sunday and will only have lost about 30 lbs also. I feel your pain. I started with a low BMI and was a revision from lapband. It has been really slow for me, really I am averaging 2-4 lbs a month weight loss. BUt on the bright side inches are coming off and I am getting smaller eventhough the scale is moving super slow! hehe So hang in there, you are heading in the right direction. At least this will give your skin time to catch up to the loss and won't have so much extra skin. GOod luck!

15Lbs Down Already But You Can't Even Tell :(
Don't be so hard on yourself. Usually others will start noticing changes before you do. If it helps start taking your measurements. Most of the time you will loose inches more than on the scale. That has help me keep things in perspective. I have only lost about 30 lbs in over 3 mos, so believe me I need all the encouragement I can get. But I can tell a difference in my clothes and sizes. I do measure myself at least once a month and the inches are coming off. YOu are beautiful and on your way to a better you. It is a process, so hang in there.

No Vomiting Until This Sunday!
One thing I have loved about the sleeve vs the band is that I am not vomiting all the time! lol Is true, I had gotten so used to vomiting with the lapband, like almost everyday, that I was expecting something similar with the sleeve! I hadn't had an episode since surgery in December. Well on Sunday, not sure what happened. At about 8 am, I had half a protein bar and like 3 oz of milk 2%(maybe this is what caused it) and got really nauseous and vomited just a lil bit. I had milk the previous morning also, so not sure what it was. Either way, I am still very happy with my sleeve and glad I don't have to be vomiting all the time.

It is hard to the pre-op liquid diet, but post op, you will have problems just getting the liquids in. Like Junior Guru said, trust your dr's and do your best to follow the diet. Good luck!

Do The Cravings Stop ?
I do have cravings for sweets, carbs, and crunchy stuff. The cravings don't go away per say, but you now try to make better decisions as to what to eat. I don't always do it, but I try. Is true about the dehydration too, I've noticed that when I don't get enough fluids in, I tend to feel hungry. But then the more fluids I drink the hungrier I feel. NOt sure what the deal is there! anyone have insight on that issue?

I Had My Sleeve Done December 15Th 2011 Im 3 Months Post-Op Is Anyone Else 3 Mo Post-Op If So How Are You Doing?
I had surgery on 12/15 and I had revision from lapband to sleeve. I have had a very slow weight loss, but I did have a low BMI also. I've lost 29lbs so far, and I do stall for 2-3 weeks at a time. Last couple of months I think I've lost a combined of 6-7 lbs. But it is coming off and I feel great and loosing inches! I will keep fighting!

Hello New To The Site :)
I had my band removed and 6 weeks later had sleeve. And I think I have had a slow weight loss since of a low BMI, but it has been a steady loss. I usually go 2-3 weeks without loosing on the scale and then loose 2-4 lbs and then again 2-3 weeks without loosing etc. I can tell you though that I have been loosing inches more than the scale moves. So I can't say I am not loosing because the inches and sizes are going down constantly. Now I have not exercised and have not been faithful with my protein intake, so if you step up more than I do, you might loose faster. Good luck!
