  1. Hey all! I've been having some port pain today and my major incision where the port is hurts today too. I'm thinking I may have just laid on that side a bit too much lately. What are your port sides feeling like around about 4 weeks post-op?
  2. Had my surgery May 21st and normally I would have had my first fill July 4th, but since it's the holiday, it'll be July 11th. So, should have been roughly 6 weeks.
  3. What were your favorites? I need ideas for main dishes.
  4. Yeah, as of right now, no more Motrin. I was with my NP yesterday and she said no motrin. It's frustrustrating because the only way to get the inflammation down is Motrin and I can't do that because of the band surgery......vicious cycle.......
  5. I have costochondritis and it has been flaring up the last few days and the best way to get rid of it is by taking motrin. Which I can't because I am only two weeks out from my surgery. Ugh. It's a frustrating feeling because it square in the middle of my chest which then makes me think it could be band related, which it's not. Not fun.
  6. Let us know how it went!
  7. I'm still on full liquids (banded 2 weeks ago today) and I can have yogurt (no chunks), sugar free fudgesicles, broths, healthy cream of whatever soups (strained), sugar free puddings, applesauce. I have even found at my local ice cream shop (actually its frozen custard) sugar free fat free frozen yogurt. Oh and protein shakes with fat free milk. I try to drink 4 oz of a protein shake every hour for the first 3 hours of the morning. Like today at 7 am, 8 am and 9 am. It'll help me "get in" my protein for the day but it also helps me have more energy for the day as well. Hope this helps!
  8. Adorkbl - I think we are following each other's blogs maybe? I'm ask me about my band, my lap band. Formytwins - I kinda agree with you about gastric & the sleeve but I won't count anything out. You never know!
  9. I'm reading things here and there. And I'm nervous now having been banded that a lot of PCOS bandsters are not as successful as they would like to be. So, tell me your story. How are you doing?
  10. My office has a psychologist working within the clinic. I would gander many "bariatric clinics" do as well. Something to look into.

  12. Jolly, I was banded the same day! Glad to hear you are doing so well!
  13. When I had my ablation I was on bc pills. But after the ablation, no period at all. I know some people who have a regular, normal cycle tend to have an incredibly light period after the ablation. I'm one of those PCOS girls who hardly EVER had her period. So when I had the ablation it stopped all together. So now I'm wondering, once I get down to a more normal weight, is my body going to kick into having some sort of a period now, or did the ablation truly take care of it. It'll be interesting to see.
  14. Thanks all! See I told you I tend to lean on the hypochondriac side of life I thought I was ok, but wanted to see how everyone else was or had done. Sounds like I might be on similar roads. I was icing the area but have in several days. Sounds like I need to do that again.
  15. I may end up with a slight period again someday?
