Thanks all! See I told you I tend to lean on the hypochondriac side of life I thought I was ok, but wanted to see how everyone else was or had done. Sounds like I might be on similar roads. I was icing the area but have in several days. Sounds like I need to do that again.

    To:
Continue to be the healthy me and not develop diabetes or high blood pressure
    Get rid of sleep apnea
To live as long as possible for my babies (who are 11 & 6) and my husband
To fit in clothes in the regular clothes section
To weigh less than my husband for possibly the first time since we were 16 & 17
To sit in a booth at a restaurant comfortably (that is a good one)
To use a regular stall in the bathroom vs the handicap one (good one too)
And let's just all admit it....to look good. I will never look as good as I would "like" to, but I'm sure after losing this weight and a great plastic surgeon, it'll be better.

I followed my pre-op diet from my doctor's office. 3 - 8 oz Protein shakes a day, 1 non-fat yogurt, 1/2 cup of fruit, 1 lean cuisine or similar and 1 cup of salad with 1 tbsp of lite dressing.
    Example:
    8 am - Protein shake
    10 am - yogurt
    12 pm - protein shake
2 pm - 1/2 cup of fruit (if using canned fruit, make sure it is in lite syrup)
    4 pm - protein shake
7 pm - lean cuisine and 1 cup of salad w/1 tbsp of lite dressing
What is your doctor recommending? Or is he just saying lose weight?

This is what I've been told:
    60-80 grams of Protein
25-35 grams of fat (closer to 25)
    No saturated fat
45-60 grams of carbs (complex carbs)

How about a "lite" zeggie pizza? Lite crescent rolls laid flat together and baked, mix lite ranch and lite cream cheese for the sauce, lots of fresh veggies and 2% cheese on top.
Or a "lite" fruit pizza. Lite crescent rolls laid flat together and baked, lite cream cheese, lite or fat free cool whip mixed together for the sauce and lots of fresh fruit.
Probably couldn't eat a lot of it band wise, but could share Veggie would be better.

ok, when I first had my lapband surgery and had to take a 6 week emotional eating class there was a lady who did not tell anyone except for her husband. And she did say it was from fear of her failing. Well, over a year later I am friends with her on facebook and I see her looking exactly the same. I feel like she set herself up for failure from the beginning. I'm not saying you have to tell the world, but you need to go into this surgery KNOWING it is going to be successful for you if you follow the rules. I feel like having people know at work helps keep me accountable to myself. It also helps that I work for my brother and he had it done a year before me!
