  1. Missed last week - hit initial goal of 210 today!!! So looks like I've averaged more than 2# per week recently! Woo-hoo Going to set new goal at 199 (11# in 3 weeks)
  2. I would stick to foods that go down better and try reintroducing chicken at a later time
  3. With me I have to switch up my protein powders weekly otherwise they cause diarriah so one week I do soy and one week I do rice - lactose free or whey give me immediate cramping and diarriah.
  4. I use the fructis line now cause nioxin did nothing for me it smells really good and hoping it slows the loss
  5. Those are all great positives of this surgery! I love coming here every day and seeing how well we are doing! Some of my non scale positives are; I now fit in all the "small" clothes that were hiding in my closet (down from 24w to 18 ) I can buy clothes in an old navy store instead of ordering from plus selection online. I fit in my wedding dress - this is a big one since it didn't fit when I bought it and i need to wear it saturday. It's got to be the smallest 4x I've ever seen. More like a 1x lol I feel a lot better about myself! And people are noticing the weight loss. No one can believe I still weigh 215. guess that's one advantage of being tall lol
  6. I was sleeved 4/13 & started losing hair a few weeks back but I think it's because I can't do the protein shakes. Starting biotin and use a shampoo with biotin to try and slow loss and stimulate new growth
  7. I wouldn't say I regret surgery because I've lost more weight than I could on my own. But ever since surgery I've had a problem digesting protein and now I have a stricture they are going to try and stretch out next Friday! Hopefully that will be a one time fix and then I'll be back on the happy train!
  8. I'm not half way there yet either - still have 70 to go
  9. All mine are in spots that won't really shrink much, ankle, shoulder, calf and neck. But I guess another 70 pounds and I'll know for sure
  10. It was in my list of medicines not to take. They had immodium on the okay list so I've been taking that! There's no explanation as to why not to take it maybe someone else knows
  11. I've been keeping track of my obesity levels too - waiting to get to overweight category
  12. 226.6 start of challenge 215.8 current 210 goal My goal weight might need to be lowered - but we will see how next weeks weigh in goes! Looks like everyone is doing great!
  13. Victorias secret I can't wait to be able to buy bras there again! Congrats!
  14. Dr Hanna isn't my surgeon and he has welcomed me to his meetings and desert springs isn't ran by a surgeon just a bariatric nurse open to all and I was sleeved at Oband and they said okay to bring friends as well!
  15. I use the powdered peanut butter in a soy shake with a few pieces of frozen banana. I like it and it blends way better than real peanut butter.
  16. I had a lot of the same feelings at first but day by day it gets easier and easier to drink liquids. Warm liquids will probably settle a lot better than anything cold at first if you haven't heard that yet.
  17. I don't have numbness in the same places, but I do get numbness a lot through my arms, shoulder, handsand waist, lower back and butt which is actually just caused by being in the same position all day at work. I go and get massages and chiropractic adjustments once every week or so which causes the numbness to go away. For now it's the only way I've found to alleviate the numbness. I am hoping yours is just a quick fix like mine. I wouldn't stress about having a tumor but definately a good idea to go and have it checked out.
  18. All prepared whey or whey isolate Protein shakes make me sick. I can handle soy protein in moderation but if I drink to many of those they also make me sick. Another sleever on here gave me the suggestion of making my own shakes which is what I do most of the time. Usually soy or almond milk with white Beans and bananas and coconut extract. Sometimes I will just do soy or almond milk with fruit and ice, but it's not very high in protein. You may be developing lactose intolerance so you can try taking something like lactaid before you drink your shakes to see if it helps. *Just don't buy the offbrand, it doesn't work as well (or doesn't for me)

  20. Blugirl same thing here for me too! Even if I drink 64 oz of water I am going 3 times per day!
  21. Hope it goes thru for you!
  22. If I'm craving a salty snack I eat an ounce of beef Jerky - an ounce is a lot more than you would think or I will drink bouillon. Gets liquid in and kills the salt craving! Dill pickes are another option but my sleeve doesnt like them.
  23. I use the mobile app - it has ads but never seen dominoes - I'll have to pay more attention! Kids love pizza so we still order it for them.
