  1. I was sleeved april 13th and definitely losing a lot of hair now. I have baby fine thin hair to begin with so I'm totally gonna be bald soon!
  2. I would be interested in this - I had acid before surgery and still after and I'm 3 mos out!
  3. Congrats! I know you've answered some of my questions too! You definitely deserve it!
  4. So I am losing most of my weight from my middle as of yet and now I have rolls in the top of my stomach too it's like all my fats gone soft lol does anyone know a shaper that will just cover my stomach - I don't want one with legs or one that goes over the shoulders? (so maybe hips to ribs like an old fashioned corset type) ? I couldn't find any when I went shopping
  5. I crash dr hanna's support groups all the time! He's great!!! I had my surgery else where with no support group meetings so he's been great!
  6. If you've had kids it could be henmroids - this is what was happening to me freaked me out but dr said that they didn't recommend removal so I just make sure to go in for colonoscopies every 2 years. If I were you I would still have it checked out and see if you could arrange a payment plan if necessary? Cause it could be something major - blood in stools isn't normal.
  7. I don't count carbs and try to eat protein at every meal. Drs plan is eating 3x a day. 3 oz protein and 1 oz veggie or fruit. I can't eat that much yet so my day is usually: Egg and ham (2 oz) Soy shake Tuna salad (2 oz) Soy shake Fish filet (2 oz) If I'm feeling nauseous I add in a few crackers with my tuna salad or cauliflower with my dinner. Some days I just can't stomach straight protein.
  8. 29.2 pounds the fist month. But I started off with needing to lose 132 pounds as of surgery day. I also didn't weigh myself when I came home from the surgery because I didn't want to be discouraged if I had gained.
  9. I was slightly lactose intolerant prior to surgery. But after surgery I have to avoid all forms of dairy and whey or its really bad! Almond milk and soy milk are no problem fir me but make sure to watch the sugars in some of the brands if you are watching carb intake. Luckily not everyone develops lactose intolerance after surgery - so hopefully u will be one of the lucky ones!
  10. Congrats! Loving the tattoo btw
  11. In addition to my 3 3-oz meals I drink 2 protein shakes a day now (took me a while but I finally realized the only shakes I can drink are soy) I usually drink these in between breakfast and lunch and one between lunch and dinner. It helps me get in more protein and liquid all at once! Can u not eat meat at all?
  12. doing better on water and protein now / but still not at 64oz and 80 grams 226. 6. Challenge start weight 221.8. Last weigh in 210.0. Goal weight
  13. Mmorral - my weight has come off much slower the last few weeks - hoping it was just a stall since I lost more this week than in the last 3 weeks That shampoo bar sounds awesome - I may have to check it out when im done with the new shampoo I just bought!
  14. Willowsknot - the NUT said the reason not to drink when eating is it limits the amount we can get into the stomach. I stop drinking 30 mins before and start drinking 30 mins after. A small sip won't hurt but def can't drink with my meal or I won't eat. I barely can get in 3 oz of food per meal so adding water won't work for me! So tomorow is officially 3 mos and I've noticed I've started shedding. Strands and strands of hair everytime I brush and wash thinking this is because I had major problems with protein but finally found protein that I can drink problem free! I bought the fall fight or fight fall line with biotin from garnier (can't remember the exact name) hoping that it helps and am going to start taking biotin as well. Anyone else going thru this yet? I'm gonna be bald at the rate my hair is coming out . Thinking a hair cut is in my future LOL I'll be back tomorrow with my official 3 month weigh in. Thinking with the stalls wont be too much over 50. Hope you all are doing well!
  15. You look great ! I love the darker hair color on you! And ditto to everyones comments on the spanx
  16. Well I have hit a plateau in my loss - I'm lucky to lose a pound a week right now. Discouraging but in a happy note the belt I bought at torrid prior to surgery that barely fit i am wearing in the smallest hole today. Going to need to punch some new holes in the belt so it holds up my pants - trying not to buy new clothes till I hit onederland (199). I can't even remember the last time I weighed 199 - it's been at least 14 years
  17. I think so - the past couple of weeks I've pretty much stalled out losing between 0-2 pounds per week. But now instead of obsessing about it daily I just look back at the week and say what didn't I do 100% and focus on that for the next week. Like this next weeks goals will be making sure to get in 64 oz of Water and take my Vitamins daily!
  18. I am a fast eater too. I have to put my fork down and either watch the clock to track when to take my next bite or if I'm out with friends I'll make sure to talk between each bite. Seems to help - hopefully it will become 2nd nature not to want to inhale my food
  19. I moved my scale and only weigh in once per week now. I won't weigh on carpet so I store it in the closet and bring it out every Friday morning for weigh in.
  20. I can't eat anything with milk or whey - both cause stomach cramps and almost immediate diarrhea. Other than that I haven't had too many other problems - couldn't tolerate spices at first but slowly starting to add them back in with no problems.
  21. I think being sleeved with your spouse is a great idea. My biggest down fall with my fiancé is him understanding that I can't eat the way we used to. Best of luck to you both - can't wait to see your progress
  22. I have had a problem with eating too fast as well - usually I will just try and walk if I feel uncomfortable after eating. Dr advised against throwing up at the support group I went to.
