Someone called not too long ago and said the price they gave her was 18,500. The 8000 was kind of a promotional type of deal to get more surgerys for dr. w so him or the medical center could become a center of excellence. I got a lot of insight and i plan on getting those sea bands *****for everyone that doesnt know-meredith said for the nausea, CVS carries sea band bracelets that hit pressure points on the wrist and reduce nausea...they even work for sea sickness and chemo...My friends little sister has cancer and is going through chemo so i let her mom know and she got them. ****** Hows everyone else doing!?

My Dad left my mom after 25 years and married my cousin (not blood related to him) so now my 2nd cousins are my step siblings. Trust me in saying 272 lbs or 130 lbs....she wouldn't get far either!!!! oh no i wont. shes on her own lol as far as my little boy.... his mom knows the deal. doc says i can lift anything after a month but for that month i can't. so sept 8th we'll be good. and i think hes back to school then. hes 67 lbs but i do more of a transfer then a lift with him. Its just this old lady im worried about because friday she was acting like she couldn't do anything. If thats going to happen ill need another month off

I'm having mine done in south carolina, I have 2 weeks there. I get surgery on the wednesday, and the following thursday is my post op appt. So ill have almost 2 full weeks. (i go back to work monday) but....if im not feeling up to it, i'm going to do half days. I guess it all depends. I do home health care...My first patient is an elderly lady....If by that point shes as bad as she was this past friday and I have to lift her, i wont be there!!!! my second is a little boy and his mom will be there to lift him for about a month (i set it up so he's home the 4 weeks after my surgery so i wont have to lift him at all. ) Most of my job is pretty easy and i can sit and relax. my elderly patient knows im having surgery but they're kind of mean. So if im feeling like i can't do it, im not going to lol. my body...and my 8k + for surgery come first. Not waking up of course... the catheter the endoscopy having a leak throwing up... i hate throwing up to begin with and i heard it hurts bad if you do it right after surgery.

You may want to invest in a tablet before you leave lol they're like 80-100 bucks for a cheaper one . I'm going to have that in the hospital with me. My boyfriend got me one for xmas i use it when i dont want to take my computer. jjust for emailing and stuff. I didn't know they had a sample pack!!! is this on their website?

I know some doctors (like mine) that want you to do a 2 week liquid protein shake diet....thats it. (although i think i can have sugar free jello) But then a guy I met on this forum can have chicken and steak and pretty much an atkins life style for those two weeks. So i dont think you'll do TOO much harm...JUST DONT DO IT AGAIN doc's want you to do it for a reason...so i guess we all should stick to the plan! good luck everything will be fine

LoL It's starting to feel real now. I just hope everything goes as planned! I got a condo on the beach so hopefully if i can get in and out of the chair after surgery....or off of the beach...I'll be able to get some sun on this ghostly body of mine. Mexico is going to be amazing for you ladies! It'll be like a honeymoon! Lets hope the pain isn't too bad and we can all enjoy our selves and not be in pain the whole VACATION! Then again. I'd take the "little bit of pain" *yes wishful thinking* and no work....over work any day...(especially this week, it was pure hell!!!)
