I'm 1 week from yesterday too. its crazy how the time has flown by. I think I just hit the nervous stage today. I actually leave to travel to south carolina for my "surgication" tomorrow. I don't have any human kids yet but I have 2 fur kids- Leila (pug) & Jaycee (black lab) ...they are the loves of my life and I can't wait to lose tons of weight and start walking at the park with them every morning!!!They're going to love Mommy's new self!!!

Rhiannon when is your surgery????? I'm on muscle milk light and its 6-7 a day. 8.5 oz ready to drinks . I'm honestly not hungry at all. Congrats sparky!!!!!Thanks for the update, It eases my mind knowing they are that great.

Of course I don't know from experience...but i have seen some forum friends go through it and text me every step of the way...and it seems like being scared is a normal occurrence at some point of this pre op journey. All of the what if's come about. Mine happened about 3 weeks ago and I actually had my first panic attack. I realized I was less than a month from surgery. Now, Here I am a little less than 2 weeks from it and it's settling in, this is happening. This is what I want. Just try to calm yourself down , no point in worrying as long as you have confidence in your self and your doctor! We're all here for you!

Just keep telling yourself it'll all be okay and remind yourself of the reasons your doing it. Have you researched your doctor and his stats? I hear we won't have hair problems as long as we have the protein and vitamins ...and we will Don't worry so much Your reading my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pre op diet for me is going pretty well with the exception of today. I did cheat and eat 4 fig newtons i feel like theres a bag of cement in my stomach....and since I haven't "eaten" in 4 days....it actually hurt to chew. but my dumb ass chewed and chewed. That was my one screw up and it wont happen again...I see how crappy it made me feel and I'm over it. It wasn't worth the tummy ache or the crappy feeling i got. Lesson learned. QOTD-How many of you would be interested in a meeting event in a year or two if we're all still posting together on this board? I was thinking we could all donate a certain small amount of money, rent out a space...Have a nice sleep appropriate dinner, maybe around the same time as a walk/5k type of thing, we could vote on a place to have it. Just an idea.....but, i'm in ! Perhaps- aug 2013 , or aug 2014!?

Sounds like you need potassium. Call your surgeons office and ask if you can take some potassium pills or if you can have a banana....or a piece of banana each day.

**** happens. Don't beat yourself up over it. I think everyone i know (that had this diet) cheated atleast once. Some more than others...One of my good friends had tuna and freaked out over it...but it was okay...even though she was sick ALOT throughout the pre op diet she moved on, completed the diet and lost 33 lbs. It'll be okay. Just remember next time you want to nibble on something make sure its ice....or a frozen protein drink. Or sugar free Gum. Remember how you felt when you "cheated". It made you feel bad and it wasn't worth it. But ...its just a piece of cheese......lesson learned We're all in this together, just post and they'll be someone here to tell u , no you don't want no damn cheeeseeeee! lol <3
