  1. I go for my first post op appt this Friday. I don't know if I'm getting first fill or not. I can't wait and see too!
  2. I am currently going through bandster hell!!! I am using sheer willpower but it is extremely hard. My coworkers all ate taco bell around me whole I ate cottage cheese yesterday. And today they had Texas roadhouse! It's tough. The hardest thing is, is that I feel like I need to eat more. I am just plain hungry all the time. I was relieved when I started mushies on Friday but I guess healing has brought the hunger back!!! But we can do this!!!! Don't give up! You are not alone!
  3. I had 2 days clear liquids, 1 week full liquids, and an now on 2 week purée. Of course per my dr.
  4. Where do u live? Walgreens and Cvs have it. I'm sure any Walmart, target, etc. any pharmacy should have it OTC.
  5. I am only 11 days post op, Following the liquid diet was easy I guess due to being in recovery from the surgery. I am guessing from the comments that before you get a fill you must be able to eat more. I have been measuring food 4oz per meal and have no problem drinking 11oz shake. But I see people on here that say they can't even get down 2oz? I have over done it a few times cause in starting to get hungrier, and I've eaten up to 8oz food. I'm on purée diet and have had no nausea or anything like that. I hope I haven't stretched mine???
  6. Milk of magnesia is a lifesaver! And won't make you have cramping.
  7. Thanks for all the advice. I will do some walking to start! I go to my dr on Friday so hopefully he can let me know when I can go back to class. Thanks again, I appreciate it!
  8. Got banded on March 7th and was wondering how long before I can start working out again? Do you need to do it gradually? Before surgery I was doing Zumba classes 3-4 times per week. I love it! But it is a lot of movement and I have been scared and moving everything around that much too soon. Any advice?
  9. Thanks! That helps! I was worried about it:)
  10. Ok update: Steroids worked great, rash is almost completely faded, glue finally cane off, and itching has subsided. I hope my recovery hell is over! I'm going back to work tomorrow so wish me luck!
  11. Post op 9 days. I just switched to the puréed diet yesterday. I was really sick of soup! I had a scrambled egg for breakfast, mashed potatoe for lunch, and mashed white fish at dinner. It was awesome! But then today I had my shake and I started having stomach issues all day. Could not stop going to the restroom. Do y'all think this is from the diet switch from liquids to puréed?
  12. How much water can you drink at a time? I'm having trouble drinking 64oz a day. Can you stretch it if you drink too fast? Thanks!
  13. I was just done 3/7 also in H-town! Congrats! I'm a little ahead of you, so let me know if I can help:)
  14. This is cool! If I drink cold Water, I can feel it stop and then drain down, weird!!!!
  15. I started purée diet today and I made one scrambled egg this morning ( with milk of course!) and after scrambling it, I chopped it very well with the spatula. I ate it slowly since this was my first food since being on liquids, but I had no issues and enjoyed every bite:)
  16. I ordered the book listed above. Will be here in 2 days! Check amazon.com it has great reviews and price is under $10!!! Can't beat it! Thanks for the tip:)
  17. Totally naked under the gown and had started my period when I woke up from surgery! So embarrassing! I wasn't supposed to start for a few more days, but surgery I'm sure brought it on.
  18. Oh and I requested the full amount of the surgery and got approved.
  19. I used care credit for mine. I have a 35 BMI with no health problems so I knew I would be self pay. Care Credit is through GE Money which does financing for most large purchases ( furniture, appliances, etc) very reputable company. Just ask the dr office what plans they offer. Mine would only give me 6 months no interest or I could pay an additional $500 to get 12 months no interest, so I opted for one of the long term fixed interest of 9.99% for 4 years. That way I know I could make the payments. Just applied on their website and gave the dr office my account number and that was it. No down payment required.
  20. I had scrambled eggs this morning( very chopped!) but it was the best egg I had ever had! Making mashed potatoes for dinner! Can't wait:)
  21. On the gas it's completely normal. Everyone gets it. Use gasx and milk of magnesia( worked better for me) and make sure you walk around, to help it pass. Your second question I would also like to know the answer. I was banded on the 7th and have had coughing spells and yesterday I had the hiccups, I was scared I was going to move the band!!!
  22. Thank you, I'm definitely going to check that out. I know I'm probably paranoid, but I want to make sure I eat the right foods for the band. Also I want to do this right and lose the weight!
  23. See my thread "itchy" I have put updates on there. I'm now on steroids to try to finally end this!
