  1. I use either 5 lb or 7.5 lb
  2. Yogurt is more of a slider food - the denser the protein the less you will be able to eat of it. You most likely could not eat 5 oz of chicken or tuna
  3. Well you should be out and in your room by now! Hoping you feel okay tonight to grab that phone and update us! Walk that hallway!!
  4. I'm kinda stuck around this 206 mark and am guessing it will move at some point. Hoping anyway. I am getting anywhere from 700-1000 calories a day as intake but then my exercise drops it by about 300 so am confused if I am suppose to eat more to have a net of 1000 or what? My NUT is just that a nut - doesn't seem like she knows much more then me. All she says is to be low carb - keep them under 30. Well I am doing that.
  5. That was me forever at work. I was always the one that was hot - had 3 fans on my desk - everyone else was wearing sweaters. Guess what I bought to take to work with me the other day?? Yep my very own sweater. I have turned my air in my house up to 78 (used to be on 72). I'm not freezing, but my temperature tolerance is definitely different. Not Iron deficient here.
  6. Could be because he has had a major surgery within the last year. Some insurance companies won't take on a new customer or up coverage if there has been surgery in the last year.
  7. Just started my 6th week post op and I had 2 pieces of pizza tonight - well not really - just like IowaAndy - I ate the toppings only. NO crust yet. 15 pepperonis and 1.5 oz of cheese. LOL - made it easy to log in MyFitnessPal. Don't worry you won't have to do without your favorite stuff forever - one of two things will happen - either you will not even like it anymore or you will indulge in it but at much smaller quantities then in the past. I doubt I will even try bread for quite a while based on what I have read on here and how I know other foods fill me up, just the thought of the bread swelling up is enough to deter me for a little longer! Good luck!!
  8. Congrats and praying for a speedy surgery and recovery!
  9. A firm airplane pillow will work
  10. Good luck tomorrow Kim! May God guide your surgeons hands and instruments in perfection!!
  11. I take two in the morning and one at night - have you tried that? Or one in the morning, one at lunch and one at dinner?
  12. 5 weeks out and very happy with my decision. I feel great and I can still eat the foods I like just not in the quantity I used to. I am not hungry, but I still have taste buds and enjoy the flavors. My diabetes and high blood pressure are under control without medications. Loving my new sleeve....named "TinyTum" You will make the right choice for you and have peace with it!
  13. I only take the Bariatric Fusion Chewable Multi-Vitamins right now. Supposedly they have all the Calcium Citrate, Iron and B-12 needed. I will have to take additional supplements if my blood work comes back showing deficits - I will find that out on my 3 month visit.
  14. Yeah, definitely get some alone time before the surgery so you can just chill out and release those stress hormones!! I am so proud of you for turning your car around and not giving in. Tell mom you are ready psychologically or you would have went ahead and ate all that popcorn and the nachos and thrown in some chocolate too!! Good luck on Tuesday and my prayers are going up for the Lord to guide your surgeons hands and instruments and that your surgery will go perfectly and your recovery pain will be minimal!! And if you want I will be happy to come up to the hospital on Tuesday evening to visit if you would like - just to see another face that has been through what you are going through - one month out. If you want me to just send me a personal message. God bless girl!
  15. Can you do Protein shakes? Like the ones in the blender as they have a little more substance to them. I had to do 21 days also - you can do it!!
  16. You look really good and are rocking that Easter dress! I also took some 1 month photos and could definitely tell the difference. I can see it in the mirror.
  17. 7 lbs in 4 days is a pretty big loss! I have lost 22 in the last month and I think that is just fine with me. Any faster and for sure I am gonna have a lot of loose skin.
  18. Congrats!! I was on 3 meds and so far haven't needed any of them. Nor do I even enjoy anything really sweet.
  19. I feel mine when I take that last bite and I just know I shouldn't take anymore and then in about 2-3 mins I feel full.
