  1. I'm just gonna tell them I took control of my health and no longer have diabetes, high blood pressure and working on kicking the sleep apnea by eating more protein, less carbs and exercising much more. Why was I out for so long? Well I needed some mental health days too - LOL!
  2. Weight Watchers scale and it is within a pound of my doctor's scale.
  3. I was Super duper couldn't sleep excited! Congrats!
  4. Congrats and great job following your plan Rootman!
  5. Congrats.............scooting down on the loser's bench!!
  6. Congrats on the start of your journey!!
  7. Congrats!! Maybe I will throw my scale against the wall and break it on purpose>??!
  8. My grey is right in the front and looks really cool so I highlight my hair and then the grey just blends in
  9. Thanks Lissa - yeah I am always getting at least 70 grams of protein, sometimes over 100. Always over 70 of fluid. The last two days I have been able to transition to plain water (couldn't stand it right after surgery) but have been making sure that 64 oz of my intake is water only and then after that I am allowing other fluids.
  10. Very normal! Good luck next week and praying for your success and minimal pains!! (all of you!)
  11. I'm kinda stuck around this 206 mark and am guessing it will move at some point. Hoping anyway. I have been floating back and forth here for over a week. I am getting anywhere from 700-1000 calories a day as intake but then my exercise drops it by about 300, sometimes a little more. I am confused if I am suppose to eat more to have a net of 1000 or what? My NUT's instructions are only to be low carb - keep them under 30. Well I am doing that. I know I could do only liquids and start the loss again but I don't want to live on liquids forever and shouldn't I be consuming foods for my other organs? Any comments?
  12. I only managed to get 8 oz of water the two days I was in the hospital. Once I got home it became easier as the swelling in the stomach started going down. Hot liquids were easier. Walk, walk and walk more and take the allowed number of GasX strips. It does get better!
  13. The diabetes improvement is well worth it and it appears that the majority of the control group at 6 years out was pleased with the surgery and results.
  14. God opened the door and you stepped through. Even if you dont get this particular job I have no doubts the one you do gain will be even sweeter! In my prayers!
  15. Why wait until your appointment? Call and ask them for it
