  1. Yep, did all of the same things! Just makes sense to me to be prepared. Did I plan on dying in surgery nope, but if it happened then I wanted those I loved to know my wishes and all my loose ends to be tied up.
  2. Did you get David as your night nurse? He is quite the talker! Lol The last two days when I have went to the gym right across the parking lot from you I have thought about you and said a prayer Hope you get to go home tomorrow!
  3. Rootman I agree! They even put out spray bottles of disinfectant around the gym with clean towels - use them already!
  4. LOL - that is exactly what I think each time I get on the scale...."Are we there yet?" Hopefully we will hit it together Iliana!!
  5. Well at least you know the maximum out of pocket should be $4500 And talk with the hospital, most of them will do a payment plan for you. Mine was $1100 and they let me put $100 down and $100 a month for the next 10 months.
  6. Don't think they can deny you on Open Enrollment at work can they? I have never heard of that. They don't ask any questions at all when I choose which insurance I want.
  7. She could have. But, normally they send a pre-authorization to the insurance company and they send them back the coverage limits. You might call her back and ask her to read you what it says because if they did make a mistake and then surgery day comes and they realize it they will want the rest of the money and if you aren't prepared then bummer you will have to reschedule. Best to know now so you can plan!
  8. Maybe I should step on that Wii fit board and see what happens!
  9. I had done all of that a couple of years ago to make sure that my daughter was taken care of the way that I wanted her to be if I did happen to have a meeting with my maker before she was raised. So yes I did make sure that I provided all of the necessary Medical POA, HIPPA release, Directive, etc. to the hospital before my surgery. Had the discussion with my 26 year old son as to my wishes, etc. I too felt that as a single mother I should take care of business and ensure that they knew about this stuff. Doesn't mean I expected anything other then the best to happen but as you stated it was my duty. I also thought about how could I put myself in the position of the possibility of my death happening and then realized that I was already doing that every day that I woke up and continued to overeat and live with diabetes, high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I was trying to provide them a longer life with their mother. I had been through other surgeries with anesthesia so I did believe that I would survive, but you just never know do you? God bless you on your journey!
  10. Don't buy one - just use the doctor's! LOL - I have a Weight Watchers one and it seems pretty accurate!
  11. Check your insurance and see if you have a maximum out of pocket amount per year - I am betting it is $2000 per individual?
  12. Being scared is natural! Good luck on Friday!
  13. UGH!!! Stuck between 206 and 208 - back and forth back and forth for the last week and half!! Really already and it seems to have started when I started eating real food again. I don't even really want to eat but apparently I am suppose to!! I know it will move again and I don't really want to lose it all really fast, but that stupid pound a day thing right after surgery really kinda got addicting! LOL! Thanks for the vent!
  14. Good luck! Walk, walk walk!!
  15. Congrats!! Sounds like you are doing well!!
  16. Too fast means loose skin too! By the way I just need to say this some where and since I am typing right now! I hate lunges and squats! LOL
  17. Congrats to both of you! How did that popsicle go down? Finish it?
